I’m not one to leave reviews for items that I purchase, but this company deserves one. This will be my 3rd dog bed purchased from this company. I fell in love with this brand in 2014 after having been through 4 dog beds that my Chow Chow(165lbs) refused to lay/sleep on. This was the only dog bed she loved. When she passed away in 2019 the bed was still in excellent condition that I donated it to her vet office. The veterinarian months later thanked me so much for the bed because she keeps it in her office for animals to sleep on after surgery, so she can monitor them. She said she’s never had a dog or cat not love sleeping on that bed. Still to this day October 2023 she has that bed in her office, and that the foam has not lost its form and or flattened down. Later that year I bought another one for our German Rottweiler(198lbs) that fell in love with his as well, but he unfortunately passed at the age two from a rare brain tumor. I received my third one 1st thing this morning and have allowed it to expand. My 18 month German Shepherd(157lbs) has already taken a liking to it. I love the water proof cover and the fact that it and the main cover are washable. I plan on buying another cover soon when I have the $$$ too, so when I go to wash the outside cover I can put the replacement one on it immediately. Trust me when I say this is THE dog bed that all dogs will love.

The first thing to know is that this bed has a washable cover OVER the plastic covering of the cooling bed. That means it can be washed & replaced easily, which we have already done once in the four months we've owned it.When you first receive the bed, the trick is to figure out which end of the bed has the bolster, and then to make sure that the top of the cover (which is contoured to fit the bolster) matches the bolster curve of the bed itself, and is not upside down. You insert the foot of the bed into the cover first. This sounds really simple, but we got the biggest size, and when we unpacked it in our entry hall, and the bed had not yet expanded to its full size, this was not obvious. I believe we actually put the cover on upside down the first time - it still worked, but was difficult to zip. After washing and air drying, it was much easier the second time. I would definitely air dry the cover, rather than risk shrinkage, as it is a snug custom fit.By the way, our two 120 lb Leonbergers LOVE the bed. It is their favorite spot to chew toys & dental bones. They chew toys on it together, but usually alternate for sleeping. The dogs have heavy thick coats, and we have never used beds, since they prefer the cool tile to the carpet here in hot & humid Florida. However, our old boy, now 11,closest to the camera, is beginning to have some aches & pains, and I always like to see him select the bed when he flops down.Anyway, no tears in the cover, no permanent staining. We choose the microfiber dark cocoa color, and it shows very little. I'd buy this bed again if I had room for a second one. Also like to support an appreciative small family business here in the U.S. Much praise in all regards!!!Update 10 months after purchase:Cover still intact. No permanent stains. Still washes easily. Foam just as thick as it ever was. Dogs know it belongs to them, and they still love it. I would buy an identical second one if I could figure out where to put it!Update 2 years and a few months later. Bennie finally decided that he needed to "make his bed" by scratching the way he does on the carpet. Tore through both the cover & the liner. However, both were still available in the same color, responsible, and fit great. He hasn't tried to do that again, thank goodness.And now I've finally got a photo to add that is the perfect illustration of the size of this mattress. Yes, two 150 lb dogs can fit with room to spare!

I'm a big fan of these beds! Very simple in design, very good quality for the price. I've wanted to get a Big Barker or a Buddy Rest for a long time now, but I just can't afford them. In all honesty, this bed exceeded my expectations though and is much more affordably priced than the other two orthopedic beds at the top of the line. The memory foam is high quality (& made in USA, I believe... another bonus), and the covers are simple in design but well made with good zippers that have stood up to many many journeys through the washing machine. I bought a smaller version of this bed over 2 years ago (without the head rest) and it has stood up well over that time, the memory foam is still holding its shape, the zipper has held up amazingly well, and the denim fabric has never ripped or worn through (my boys aren't big diggers or chewers on their beds though). The water-resistant liner has also done its job well when my senior boys have the occasional accident. My boys are definitely getting up there in years (& they're big boys too, weighing in at 80 lbs & 100 lbs!), which is why I wanted to get them each a nice comfy orthopedic bed to cushion their joints when they sleep at night... but I'm not ashamed to admit that I have slept on these beds too, and can fully attest to the fact that they are more comfortable than a lot of mattresses I've had in the past! I also am happy to support a small independent business who happens to be local to me here in California. Overall, I'd recommend these beds and this company to anyone looking for a good, solid, simply designed, affordable, quality dog bed for dogs who need a little extra support when they sleep. My boys love these beds too, which makes me a happy mama!
