Great value for price if you're just getting started. Just consider your child's handling. My rough guy broke the reel right away while my less rough guy knows to be gentle.

I like to have this rule that I have to have a fishing pole in my car at all times...you never know when your gonna need it! :D That being said its a "kid" pole....to me its a way to get to unreached spots. For the price u just can't beat it! I will be honest I snuck in a small tackle box and a "pocket fisherman" within the bag it comes with! Also a survival fishing kit (bc I can) :D..loving it! No regrets on this purchase. Also I kept the plastic piece for the tips of the pole, they fit in there well and I like the idea of the added protection.

My daughter casted, and then it wouldn't reel, it was jammed. Then a piece broke off. However the seller did reach out to refund or return the rod which I appreciate and shows they stand by their product.

Paired this with a lifetime licence for our granddaughter's first birthday. Her parents lived it!

Very good kit with lots of extras.

This little package was purchased for my son for his first fishing outing at local lake, and I must say enabled him to enjoy and engage with learning to float fish without having to worry about lifting the arm on a standard rod reel and line tangles. The reel is as simple as hold down the button, release when you flick out and then adjust the slack with the handle, then wait. The accessories are ok and for the price cannot fault, the rod handled perch, roach upto 2lb over the 2 days we had without issue.I Would recommend this product highly for someone looking to take young children fishing

The Drag on the reel cannot be set to any useful setting. Turning the drag wheel to the right as far as possible did not set any drag. Line can easily be pulled out with little resistance. If I buy a new reel, the rest of the kit could be salvageable.

it was all packaged very neatly with a space for everything. it came in a box but everything is packet in a small bag but has enough space for everything. its very easy to use amazing good quality. its got a lot of accessorise with it everything included. i found it to be a best starter kit for the little ones and bigger children can also use it as its heavy duty and would suit an older child.

The kit can actually be used to fish. This was important as my grandson likes real tools not fake ones. This fit the bill perfectly
