Goronya Wireless Outlet Switch with Remote,Electrical Plug Outlet Control for Household Appliance Lamp Light Etc (1 Plug / 1 Remote)

I bought this so I could convert the ceiling light in my garage into a dual purpose garage door opener supply and garage light.I took the light fixture off and replaced it with a standard dual outlet. I pluged the garage door opener into one of the outlets and I pluged this Goronya remote into the other. I then hung a LED fixture and pluged it into the remote.I attached the two button remote with double sided tape on a wall so now I have a neat setup where I run the garage door opener from the ceiling fixture and I can turn the garage lights on and off using the remote switch.My next project is to install a booster fan in the clothes dryer duct and use one of these Goronya units to turn the booster on when the dryer is running.

I had different wireless outlet switches that work great in my living room and in my bedroom for lamps. They were rated for a range of 50' and for my current project (range to outdoor shed about 30' thru two walls) I was looking for something that worked a little farther, I had tried the 50' wireless outlet's and it was right on the edge of the range.So I bought this which was rated for a range of 100', and thought it would work just fine, but it must be right on the edge of the range as well since I can only get it to work some of the time. This is why I gave it 3 stars. If you are using this at a closer range (like a living room or bedroom) it will work great.

Good news! The receiver has an indicator light on the front. That way you can tell if the switch is on or off. Upon receiving this item, open battery case on remote. Then remove piece of plastic that prevents battery from working. I use this remote to control charging for my Bluetooth speaker that is paired with my Echo dot. That way I don't have to plug and unplug the USB cable connected to the speaker every time it needs charging. This remote outlet switch is a nifty item and works great. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I really do like this product. Works well, and is reliable. My only problem is confusion. Usually, light switches are "Up is On, Down is Off," so this is now customary for us, so we don't have to think. Goronya has two small buttons (they're okay), but one is on the left, the other is on the right. Which logic pattern should I use? Reality is, Left is On, Right is Off. For some, the logic could be the other positioning: Right is On, Left is Off. I am not at all lazy, but why should I have to think-through the Left-Right mixed logic? I just want to turn on the lights and turn them off without double-punching buttons, thereby also using up the power in those specialty 12-volt A23 batteries.Goronya, you requested feedback, here is it. PS: I would definitely purchase the product again because it seems rugged, the switch-plate has a small form-factor, is easy to mount next to an existing switch plate using one of those nice 3M Command release-able double-sided adhesive strips.

Mostly junk. Has an on/off switch on the top of the receiver portion which slightly meets my needs. However, the remote it complete inoperable. It comes with "pairing instructions" that not only sound like they were written by a Chinese teenager, but they don't accomplish what they are supposed to. Absolutely would not purchase this item again, but not really worth returning. Buyers beware.

Poor range

Have a difficult to find tulip desk or torch style Ottlite that I love but the mechanical switch wore out on. This saved me from having to toss an otherwise perfectly good and working lamp into the landfill. Wish I had purchased this ages ago, though because I can now turn the lamp on/off from bed whereas before I had to get up to do so. This can, of course, be used with any plug in product. Love mine and having this one inspired me to buy a multi switch/multi outlet model by the same manufacturer.

I had bought one of these about a month ago, it broke!!!!! So I bought this one, this one feels more sturdy and a little nicer. It has on and off, another thing this one does not block the bottom plug.. I use this for a floor lamp, which is nice, it's hard for me to get up and out of bed, so it's nice at night, to be able to just click off. :).. Love this wireless remote switch!!! Everyone gotta get one!
