The magic isn't there
Man (Professor who's a middle aged hunk), takes a group of 12 college age girls into a cave on a underwater archeology expedition and ends up discovering that the cave has a magical portal to a Lost World.Well, Lost World tales aren't new. Harem tales aren't new. Dumb MCs (who should be reasonably smart) aren't new.Ok, let's admit it, nothing about this tale is "new". It's pieced together from other plots and in many cases the derivative nature of the writing is rather oppressive. And yet, I have to admit that I did not dislike the story. It's just that it wasn't magical. I've read better tales about people in a primitive society trying to survive. And while I have to admit that harem tales can be fun, I've pointed out in other reviews that many seem to rely on having a main character who just might be able to win a game of chess..... played against a rock.... if they had the advantage of the rock accepting a handicap. This MC isn't quite that bad, but he's passive far too often. So I will call this one 3 star. Its fun, its interesting, but it isn't magical. Its another solid effort to add to the genre, without being anything more than that.

Not bad
The book could use more editing. Grammar, sentence structure, and continuity issues that I noticed. Story was good if a bit "where is this going?" Hopefully the next book helps clear a few things up

For the ARK Gamer
I am fairly certain this is written by an avid ARK gamer. So many similarities to the game to be coincidental. That said, it is a decent story. An ecosystem and world is well described and works. It creates a real survivalist component to the story within the world. Other than the magical transport to the world, the story is devoid of the normal fantasy overdose found in these stories. Considering this is a harem story, the sex is more natural as well.Until/unless Audible releases this story by a different narrator, do not purchase/listen to that version. The narrator is perfect for an old cowboy that smoked unfiltered cigarettes for their entire life. He is certainly not suited to pulling off women's voices or this story, though.Overall, a good escape read. Not overly dramatic, flawed, or over the top.

This was actually pretty good!
The reviews i read were pretty mixed, so I decided to give this book a try. I wasn't disappointed. While some of the complaints were valid now that i have read the story. This author isn't trying to be Tolken here, and doesn't have a big team of assistants or a major publisher. So bearing that in mind, don't expect a perfectly polished book for like 4 bucks. I would have given it 5 stars but even after allowing for the limitations the author has, i had some trouble with the action/fight scenes towards the end. Like the monster's size seemed to change or the flow of the fight was a bit jumbled. I would recommend this book tho. Looking forward to the next one.

Great
Not sure how they ended up in Jurassic world but pretty cool, also not sure one dude can keep 12 women satisfied without things falling off, my personal take on killing mondo snake, large square panel suspended horizontal to ground with long sharp stakes pointing towards ground with large rocks on top of panel, snake goes underneath cut rope gravity does the rest, one dead snake! Looking forward to more adventures, highly recommended

Lost with college girls
Well, I'm a big fan of the primitive motif, so this one was right up my alley. I enjoy the base-building aspect and the adventure of the wild (vicariously only). I'm looking forward to where this goes since it does end on a bit of a not-quite-cliffhanger.

I recommend it
So I had just got done reading Survivor 2 by this author. Unfortunately he hasn't written Survivor 3 yet. So it seemed that the only logical thing to do next was searched and see what other books with author has written. That of course brought me to Jungle King after all who doesn't like dinosaurs. It's not all roses as the gentleman author has committed the cardinal sin of having the MC wear a Speedo yuck. Still with that one negative element it was a really good book and I'm happy to say that as of the time of this review the second one is already out. In fact I'm going to go read that one right now.

Jungle King
This is a great book. It started off a little slow but it quickly picked up the pace. I hope the author gets busy on book two because I really want to see where it's going now that the new women have shown up. I'd love to see more of the sex between Jake and the women. I recommend this book. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Fun and entertaining.
Another great story from Jack. Well written as always, fun and entertaining, with good action and characters. More books should hopefully see the female characters develop more.
