Scrubbing BubblesAutomatic Shower Cleaner, Starter Kit, 34 Ounce.

I got model 7 - it does not do a direct feed from source to sprayer but has lots of piping inside to protect the electronics. It did require forceful priming of the pump. I had to squeeze the tank on first running to get the liquid into the line and spraying. I had one of these a decade ago and loved it but my cleaning crew broke it! Glad to have one working again!

I bought two of these for use in two shower stalls. They do a great job of cleaning the soap off the walls while providing a clean fresh scent. Using these are very simple. Once done with your shower, simply press the button on the front and close the door or curtain. It beeps as a countdown for about 10 seconds before starting to spray the cleaning fluid around the shower. The head rotates as it sprays, providing great coverage in the shower. The recommendation is to use this after your shower, while the shower is still wet. Ideally, use this after the last shower of the day (in th morning or at night).I have noticed a big improvement in the appearance of the inside of the shower. I no longer need to scrub and wipe the shower walls and floor as this seems to do the trick. The refills are reasonably priced and my time saved not having to clean the showers is well worth the costs involved.

UPDATE TERRIBLE PRODUCT!I purchase my 1st unit on on August 4, 2012, the second on August 12, 2013. I considered a years life worth the convenience. But the 2nd one lasted only about 3 months.What seems to work as well as the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner is to (1) thoroughly rinse the walls and shower curtain after showering (2)turn the bathroom fan on for 2-3 hours until the shower walls and curtain are dry. I have been doing this for about 8 months months and the soap scum and mildew buildup is minimal.FIRST REVIEWDrill two holes at the flat end of the dispenser, the end opposite the 'cap'. The diameter of the first hole should be large enough to accommodate a funnel. The second hole is to allow air to escape while filling.To fill the dispenser let the unit hang in its normal operating position, but low enough to access the holes. Put the funnel in its hole and fill.I have been using the product almost every day since August 2012. It does a good job of keeping the shower clean.After reading other reviews, I thought it would be best to install it above the shower head to protect its inner workings. To this end I use a shower curtain extension rod (InterDesign Cameo Small Shower Curtain Tension Rod from Amazon). In addition, I coat the batteries with silicone grease (Haynes Silicone Grease 1 - 4oz Tube from Amazon).I have changed the batteries twice. Unfortunately I did not make a note of the date of the first change. The second change was on July 19, 2013. When the batteries get close to needing replacing what happens is that at the end of its normal beeping the motor will intermittently not start. I use Duracell Ultra Power AA Batteries from Amazon.So far so good: I like the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner as much as I dislike cleaning the shower manually.However, I dislike having to purchase refills. What a waste.I was unable to remove the 'cap' to refill them. So, I drilled two holes as described above.There are websites giving refill liquid recipes. Be sure to use a recipe for a mixture that does NOT require rinsing. I use distilled water, dish soap, white vinegar and ammonia.I would give a 5 star rating if the 'cap' was removable.

About 3 years ago, we ran across this product in the grocery store, and it looked interesting, so we purchased it. We live in an old-fashioned Los Angeles apartment that has a separate tub and shower, and the shower is about 2-1/2' x 2-3/4'. It is awkward to clean. So we tried this out, and fell in love. It is PERFECT. I use it about once or twice a week, and it keeps the shower extremely clean. The first one we bought broke down a bit too soon, so we contacted the company and they sent a replacement. Just recently, that one finally wore out (they are equipment after all), and our closest grocery store was not currently carrying it, so we checked Amazon. To our delight, Amazon had it, and at a reasonable price. (We were already buying all our refills here by the case, and will continue to do so.) This is a fantastic item to own, especially for small showers. You can't go wrong by at least trying it. We will NEVER stop using it. THIS IS MY 4th UNIT IN 6 YEARS. The shower cleaner is great, it will remove any and all soap scum on the walls, glass doors and chrome fixtures, BUT the mechanical soap dispenser DOES NOT LAST. After a little more than a year the dispenser stops working, I called the company and they replaced it once. So WHY do I keep purchasing this product, BECAUSE THERE IS NO BETTER PRODUCT ON THE MARKET. Yes you can purchase the detergent ONLY and put it into your own spray bottle (I have done it), but it is much more convenient to just "Press the button" and keep the shower sparkling clean. I would like to give the cleaner 5-STARS, and I would like to give the dispenser 1 STAR, so I averaged it out at 3-Stars.As a rule I Do not repurchase a product that does not last or does not work, but here in New England we have very hard water and keeping the shower clean is a very hard task. THIS PRODUCT WORKS, it is just that the dispenser clogs up and stops spraying out the soap cleaner. I have tried every method of cleaning the dispenser and nothing works, so every year and a half I purchase another, ....Because the Cleaner WORKS
