KEENMen's Targhee 3 Open Toe Sandal

An excellent hiking sandal that has stood the test of long walks over varied terrain.

It's been quite hard to find the best sandals for my requirements. I needed some that were comfortable over long periods, reasonably rugged and could stand being immersed in water.These seem to fit the bill perfectly. I walked five miles in them on the day they arrived with no problems at all. They are certainly comfortable and appear very well made.I'm taking them to Galapagos in August so will write an update.

Straps curl under which in turn make them painful to wear however they will mould to my feet in time have walked about 30 miles in them so far just need to get used to them.

My third pair over many years. Beware of sizing. I’m a UK 10 and ordered 10.5. Too small in length. Changed for 11 and they’re only just right.

The Velcro makes these shoes infinitely variable in fit, so no problem so long as you’re reasonably ordering the right size.The soles are a bit too flexible for anything serious, but when strolling around in a holiday setting the sandals are great.Obviously they are monstrously annoying if you get a stone under your foot…

I shortlisted these out of around 6 pairs of differing brands but they were pipped by the superior comfort of some merrell's.The problem was of a potential rubbing sensation over the big toe. Sadly the strap 'buckle' was just above the big toe joint with only a flimsy flap of material as a cushion. I believed this to be likely to cause problems over time. Overall though, great quality and comfortable secure fit and form, with great materials. It was a tough decision.

I bought these sandals for my husband who normally wears an orthotic foot piece because of ‘drop foot’ on his left leg. He wore these the whole trip to the Dominican Republic & loved them. They were supportive & very comfortable. He could wear his orthotic with the sandals if necessary. I would recommend these sandals! 🇨🇦

This is the best sandal I have purchased - way better than other competitors. As other reviewers have stated, these are on the small side - I purchased a 1/2 size larger, and they fit perfectly. This is not uncommon, I have had the same issue with other brands. I have had issues with other sandals where the back strap irritates my Achilles tendon - not with this shoe!Only negative is that these are made in Vietnam, not the USA as stated in the description. At least it's not China.Some have complained about the sizing wearing socks, not an issue for me. And besides, you are not supposed to wear socks with sandals. And if you are concerned about foot odor, use foot powder on the sole base, just like with any other sandal. 'nuff said!
