Universal Pull by Vernet

Can't seem to use it well
The system itself is a good concept and if you wear the right clothes it should work well. The only thing I can get it to work with is a suit jacket. All other sleeves I find are to restricting and the device just gets caught on the sleeve. So if you are the kind of magician that performs with a tuxedo or a form a suit, this will most likely work. If you are a street magician like me this will almost always get caught on your jacket/shirt sleeve. I tried various ways of positioning my arm and releasing the device to no avail. The device is just to thick for what I wear. It is not the devices fault, so I will give it 3 stars.

well made
This classic trick continues to fool and the prop will vanish fairly large items such as a bunch crayons. Only downside is that the magician has to wear a jacket which is not a common as it was when this effect was created.

Astounding
I am not a magician but bought this for a friend who is as a gift. I saw it in action during one of his shows and I can confirm that its effect is truly astounding.

Sucks
I was disappointed to see that it was just elastic with safety pinsAnd the fishing line broke within the first minute of use. And it's very large and doesn't work. The plastic holder where you put stuff in the prongs to keep it bend and drop yhings. And 9 out of 10 times it would just flop down and every time it made a odd noise that makes it very obvious, I would not recommend at all I wish there were a 0 star so I could actually show my rating. Spend the extra 40 and buy a gecko brand

Take It From Someone Who's Spent Some Money Searching
I have bought other gimmicks to vanish items. Nothing beats pure sleight of hand magic. However, this pull is perfect for certain items. I bought the Gecko magic trick. It's a expensive gimmick used for vanishes. I don't want to make this a piece about why not to buy the Gecko, I'm just saying I own both and this is the only one I use. I found this pull to work better & here's why: *Noise- This pull is a lot more quieter than the Gecko or a Raven. I've never had an issue with sound and found this elastic to pull in my jacket with less chance of getting heard. If I want to use it for coins or objects that might "talk", I either stick a sponge ball in or some cotton before hand to quiet the drop.*Concealment- You can handle this pull alot more naturally than any vanishing gimmick I've come across. No more outstreched hand awkardly placed by your side waiting to vanish an object. This pull can be palmed more naturally and fits nicely in a downs palm before a vanish. This will draw less heat to your hand.*Versatility- Now you would think this couldn't compare to the Gecko. If you've seen the Gecko demo and gimmicks like it, it shows vanishing cell phones and beer bottles. All smaller items will work with this pull like a Gecko but better. Lipstick, matches, playing cards, silks, coins, bottle caps, cigarettes, etc. Of course it can't vanish beer bottles but neither can the Gecko. It's in the demo but it's not practical to vanish a beer bottle in a real world situation with a real spectator using that gimmick and a jacket. Alot of people who bought the Gecko thought they could vanish a bottle and were let down when they got it. That just leaves cellphones. That's the one thing Gecko has over the Universal Pull. But I wouldn't buy it just to vanish cellphones. I'd buy this pull for less than 1/3 of the price and concentrate on all the other things you can effectively vanish. *Angles- You can pretty much use this pull at any angle if it's setup right in your jacket. This is good if you want to use it for stage as the audience could be seated directly in front of you. -With that said there is one thing I think could have been improved. There's a piece of fishing line that attaches the black elastic to the pull. This line is flimsy and has snapped on me several times since owning it. I'm either going to replace the line or just attach the black elastic directly to the pull. Also getting certain items out can be a little tough especially if it's a borrowed object. Overall it's a versatile gimmick that so far seems pretty durable. It's like an oversized thumb tip, palm sized, that you can shoot in your jacket with relative ease. Much more practical than other gimmicks that tried to improve on this idea for a fraction of the cost.

Great for vanishing objects in magic display
Great product and works great with practice! Classic design and works well when adjustments made. Pull easily grabs all sorts of small objects. Fun to use!

Three Stars
Quite noisy but ok in a room with back ground noise. Works well, as described and arrived promptly
