It’s a functional bell
I purchased this as small decoration for our flag day through Independence Day mantle display. I was surprised to find out it actually dings I thought it was a solid piece. It does have a crack in it.

Great Historic Reproduction!
I have an Americana collection and the Liberty Bell was a must. I've seen cheap knock-offs that are shaped like a bell & there the similarities end. This product is as faithful a presentation of the real thing without costing an arm & a leg - VERY satisfied!
