Great lower fat alternative for a family of 4
I've heard about air fryers before, but never really took much notice, but as we've decided to lose a bit of weight and eat more healthily it made sense to pick one up as I've been told they can offer up to 70-80 lower calories when compared to deep fat frying. This means that chips and wedges can still be on the menu as a treat at the weekend but also when you look into it, you can bake brownies and cakes, or if you wanted to, do a roast dinner, but cooking a leg of lamp or a chicken. This nicely coloured fryer i picked up from Amazon matched my kitchen decor nicely which initially drove me to the purchase, but i, it has a digital display which is clear and easy to use with a few presets for specific types of food. This is good because air fryers cook food faster so this helps not to burn your dinner. It is also dishwasher sage and is over 4 liters in size, or around 30cm3 (roughly) in terms or real size, but it meant I it was big enough for a family of 4.Finally as a nice little start off it also comes with a recipe book which is helpful, but not essential as a new menu is only a google away. I can recommend the air fried roast potatoes on the good good page. Crispy and light. Yummy.

Quick and simple to use
If you haven't already got an air fryer then you are in for a treat as they are great. We've been using an original model for the last 5 years or so, and there's not a single week when it doesn't get used as air frying is just far more convenient and a lot quicker than conventional oven cooking. It's fantastic for 'snacky' type meals in a hurry - ie oven chips and chicken pieces, proper crispy jacket potatoes etc but we've also done all sorts of stuff whole chickens and currys in them too.So after 5 years we were gutted when our original air fryer developed a crack near the top of the basket, which meant the air wasn't staying inside as it should and cooking was taking a lot longer. We plumped for this model as a replacement as we fancied one with digital controls and a display as the old one was strictly analogue with a clockwork type timer and no display of any kind. I wasn't sure on the green colour at first but now we've had it a while I do think it looks great.Using the machine is simplicity itself, and there's preset buttons ont he top you can use for different types of food. If you don't want to use a preset you can set the time and temperature to cook at manually. The digital display is a real boon, and lovely and clear - a simple thing but a real improvement over what we were used to. Like our previous one the basket is dishwasher safe - very important when it comes to cleaning!Cooking times are nice and quick and certainly on par with our previous model. In terms of basket size I would say it's identical - big enough for 2-4 people (there's 3 of us and we can cook entire meals in it - it would do an entire small chicken for example).I've bought a lot of gadgets that started off as the best thing ever but rapidly ended up at the back of our cupboards over the years (waffle makers, ice cream makers etc) but an air fryer is one thing that we use day in and day out. A quick and convenient way to cook, and this one is great with easy controls and a great digital display.

Very flexible! It can cook pizza and cake! Easy to use. Strong build, easy clean.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So, my last few reviews of the products I buy, I couldn't make video. This time, I can do video, but the pictures, well, they keep disappearing. I have no idea where. Older ones are there. Newer ones are there. But it won't save them when I took them again. So, I have a new phone on my wishlist!I hope you can watch the video. That should show you everything you need, just not what the box looks like...It is a good size. Probably fit a small chicken in.The design all seems to be very solid, easy to use and to clean.I have only used it once and video shows my first attempt!I tried fries. It gives a time and temperature on the lid and the Cookbook included, also shown them.I think I used too much oil on my first try.As with everything new, it takes a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get the best out of it for your preference. The parts you use are waterproof, so when the food is done, you can just wash the bowl in water.I have thought about getting one of these air fryers for a long time. But didn't want to pay a fortune, to find it of no use to me.Now the prices have fallen, also, to be honest, my health is getting worse, so it is worth a try.Unfortunately, in the case of the fries, I think I put too much extra virgin olive oil on them, also I discovered, that I don't like it!Like I said, trial and error.I think it will make great chicken. That will be my next attempt! It is so flexible! On the lid alone includes temperature and time for cakes, pizza, fries, chicken, steak!I look forward to trying different things and figure out the best settings for me. Like steak for instance, everyone likes it different, rare, extra rare, well done, burnt to a crisp. So they can't give the exact time or heat to suit everyone. But it is easy to add a few minutes or drop the temperature and, of course, don't use an oil that you don't like! Because that would be silly!

Fast and healthy
This is a good size air fryer at 4.5l which is big enough to hold chips for a family of 4. The colour is interesting but this didn’t bother me as I use it in the garage to prevent as many smells in the house as possible and also it is easy to store in there. The air fryer has a pull out drawer underneath and comes with a rack so the fat that drips of something like sausages is removed and means the meat becomes healthier than if it were to sit and cook in the fat. Having to add only minimal cooking fats to food really reduces calories of the finished product and my chips still taste as good as if they were fried in the oil.The air fryer is quick and easy to use and even has certain settings for different types of food. The pull out drawer is quick and easy to use and cleaning up afterwards is much easier. The air fryer is safer to use as there is no chance of burning yourself, getting oil from a frying pan splash at you or risking an oil fire from a chip pan.A nice safe and healthy way to cook many different types of food.
