I have SHORT lashes. I do not usually wear much make up but mascara is a daily necessity. This mascara goes on very easily and really adds length to my almost not existent lashes. I like that it lengthens without fibers. It is very black and applies very easily. It does not make my lashes feel clumpy, no spider legs! I have also found that it doesn't flake. I haven't checked it's longevity yet but so far I've had no problems with regular wear. This mascara has become so integral to my everyday that it sits in my pencil cup holder so I can put it on with my little hand mirror before my first zoom call of the day (oh how things have changed). I have a number other mascaras and have no problem paying for more expensive prestige brands...because it is my only daily make up requirement. I've used others with good coverage but they sometimes take a few coats. This mascara covers well quickly with minimal coats and I really like the lash effect, which is a lengthened fanned lash effect. Even though I have other mascaras to currently choose from this is currently my go to favorite!

This mascara lengthens my short, straight lashes quite well with a few coats. It doesn't clump much and it is deeply pigmented so my lashes stand out. I expect a lot from my mascaras and this one doesn't live up to all my expectations but does give me the length I crave. I don't get a ton of volume with this but, with a few coats, my lashes look fuller. It stays on well but will flake now and then. It's easy to remove at the end of the day. It's a good everyday mascara and, with a few carefully applied coats, gives enough drama for nighttime wear. ** I am updating this review in June, 2022 six month after the original review. I just bought another tube because the mascaras I have been wearing don't live up to this one. I am still searching for one that gives me more length and volume but, for now, this Idun Minerals Magna Lengthening Mascara is doing a good job giving me the length I crave.

Idun is a Swedish cosmetics company focused on inclusiveness and sustainability, making cosmetics for a wide range of skin tones with a focus on local sourcing and reducing the environmental footprint of its products.This lengthening mascara comes with a tapered short bristle brush, that's fatter in the middle and narrow on each end. Application was easy and lengthening and darkening with the dark black tone was quite visible. It also didn't irritate my sensitive eyes or contacts. Found it a touch prone to clumping, which wasn't ideal, but worse is that it rubbed off all too easily, leaving me to be constantly fussing with cleaning my under-eye area. Didn't look bad, but I need something that stays a bit better.

This mascara has worked well for me. It's not clumpy and goes on rather smoothly. It definitely helps to lengthen and if I add a coat or two more, it does build up a bit to add some volume. But it's not meant to be too volumizing, so don't expect that. I've yet to notice any flaking. I use an oil based eye makeup remover and this comes off beautifully. But it also stays on all day (for the most part - on long days I have a tad bit of residue but nothing as bad as other mascaras I've used). Overall, this is a good lengthening mascara and is worth giving it a try if that's what you're looking for.
