Such a great complement to the story!
Such a great complement to the story! In Pieces is the book 2.5 (a novella) in the Black Falls High series. It’s told from the guys POV so we get to be inside Fox, Cole, Enzo and Ethan’s head. This installment takes place between In Silence (book 2) and In Chaos (book 3), and it deals with the aftermath of the ending in book 2.Such a quick and good read! Since we get the POV from the guys perspectives we really get to see their thought process and get to know them in a deeper level than the previous two books. Since we already have a notion of their personalities this is a great way to know what they are thinking and feeling, and how they handle such deep emotions. The aftermath of book 2 is a heartbreaking and we get to see how each one of them struggles and deals with it.K.G. Reuss has done an excellent job in the first two books at describing each guy and their personalities, but this book blew me away. Without looking at the title of the chapter to see who’s POV we got, I could tell whose perspective I was reading. Such a character development too! We get to see how Fox acknowledges he needs to give some of the control and leadership to Enzo and Cole. Enzo did not disappoint either! He was the calm within the storm and was able to think rationally and guide his friends in such troubling times. The banter in this book is off the charts! I love a good banter in books and this one did not disappoint! We get to see the love and devotion the guys have for each other and to Rosalie. They are willing to do anything in their power to make sure their family is safe and happy! You get to see how each of the guys show their love and support through small things, such as fruit baskets, daily roses, and baby gifts. I loved how they all refer to the baby as “our baby” and are fully committed to work together and help as a family. The last thing I want to mentioned is that we get to see the guys' and Rosalie’s parents in this book and how they handle the fact that the four horseman are in a relationship with Rosalie.Overall a 5/5 stars for me! A must read to go into In Chaos!

Good read!
Black Falls High Series by @authorkgreuss…………….“You’ve been chosen.”……………This is for books 1-3 of the Black Falls High series:In RuinsIn SilenceIn PiecesThis was an interesting enemies to lovers story! Rosalie and Fox were best friends growing up but after Fox’s mom passed away, he didn’t want anything to do with Rosalie. A once best friend, turn enemy. He made it his mission to hate her. Fast forward to senior year of high school and the tables turn. Rosalie is caught in a game she wants nothing to do with. Fox and his 3 best friends have always wanted to share but could never agree on the perfect girl, until Rosalie. This series has a lot of ups abs down and it will keep you interested! The guys blackmail Rosalie into being their girl but is that really the reason they all come together? The first book ends with a cliff hanger and the second book Rosalie steps up her game against the guys. The third book is a game changer and is told only from the guys POV! I have started the 4th book and can’t wait to finish it!……………“Only in death will we part, and even then, I’ll search heaven and hell to find you.”…………..This is a high school enemies to lovers RH series and it’s a completed series on KU. I found the characters to be very interesting, each with their own story and history. Excited to see how it ends!

torment
This was pure torture. Too short, but definitely needed its own short book. I appreciate that it wasn’t dragged out and that we get more of the guy’s pov

An emotional rollercoaster
This book is an emotional roller coaster. It made me cry multiple times, and now reading more of KG’s work and writing this review looking back this is something she is very good at she immerses you into her world, breaks your heart and slowly pieces it back together. I devoured this in no time. A very wise person on social media told me to wait to start this until the next book comes out and that’s exactly what I did so onto the next book I go.

Lets get back
This book is more of a filler, which is a slight let down because I love the authors writing and the story. However, you get to see things from all of the guys point of view, which you see they’re still stupid and don’t think things through, their excuse always being, to keep Rosie safe, eyeroll*.It ends on a bit of a cliff though, with no insight on how Rosie fairs after the accident. You could possibly skip this book entirely, depending on how the author starts In Chaos.

It's official I'm buying the series.
I absolutely loved reading in the boys POV. You got to see things from their perspective, and their mutual understanding of being family.

The guys point of view was amazing!
This was a perfectly placed story from the guys POV and I LOVED IT! It allowed me to love Ethan even MORE if that’s possible but mostly it allowed me to actually LIKE De Luca. He was a doüche in the beginning but now I understand him more. It was also nice to see a softer side of Fox…almost too soft but again, I get why he was that way. Then there is Cole, I’m still on the fence about him. I can take him or leave him. 🤔 All in all a short little novella all about the guys but it also moved the story along and gave us at least 2 villains to watch out for…

these boys own my heart
If K.G is good at one thing above all, it’s writing men you just absolutely fall in love with. These broken boys are so beautiful in their own ways. The dynamic of all of these groups is just simply amazing. I’ll keep writing these reviews forever. If you needed a sign to hop onto the chaos universe, here it is…

Alternative POV
Excellent to know and follow the boys’ POV.Necessary and very well written, this books was a tremendous addition to the plot. The idea of writing another novella while Rosie was not able to, was simply genius.I would strongly recommend to all the readers to follow the order on the books, obviously.Excellent reading, funny sometimes and very good to bring and explain us every one of the guys personalities. We get to know Enzo better and also Cole, what was vey important to build the integrity of the Foursome.

From Boys to Men
I received In Pieces as an arc and loved it so much I will still be purchasing the title to support the author. In Pieces is the POV of the horseman immediately following the events of In Silence. This book really allows the reader to get to know the horseman and their strengths but also their weaknesses. For me it fleshed out the long term plans for the ‘family’ these men have planned. In Pieces forces a maturation of the characters that is often missing. Not only do I recommend this book but I advise you to read it a few times before In Chaos comes out. Allow yourself to really get to know these men!

Full series review
Oh my lord this series was SO GOOD! It was addictive & I just couldn't put it down, blitzing through all 4 books in less than 48 hours. My one annoyance is that so much could have been solved with better communication, and whilst to start with I got it, as the story progressed I found myself getting irritated that they continued to make the same mistakes, keeping secrets & not telling her what was going on. Wasn't enough to deter me though and I just know this will be a series I reread in the future!!SPOILERIFIC TRIGGER WARNINGS:The book only has a vague "dark content" warning. Here's what I feel should have been mentioned as people have different triggers.Sexual assault, domestic violence, drug abuse, miscarriage
