One of a Kind
Jami Davenport out did herself with this book. I have read hundreds of sports romance books and have not read one with a plot like this one yet. It’s a one of a kind read that you will absolutely love. It has the warm and fuzzes to drama to suspense. Of course love because what is a romance book without love. Reading the synopsis I thought no way. But yes way. It’s a great book. Alex is well I just love him. He could have been my best bud growing up. Gen reminds me of so many of my cousins. The tough girl on the outside that thinks she can handle it all but is soft on the inside. The plot is a great read. Can’t wait now to read the rest of the Puck brothers and hopefully Jock will get a book. I need him to have a book.

Sockeyes At it’s Best
I love everything about the Seattle Sockeyes Hockey Team and I hope Jami Davenport keeps on writing this Fantastic Series. We meet Axel a rookie for the Sockeyes in the most unconventional way and in a way he didn’t make or want that kind of impression on his teammates.Geneva is the sister of backup goalie Jock and is working as an intern for the Sockeyes but when she meets Axel she can’t help feel the instant chemistry towards him but he’s the last person she should be attracted too.Axel will do whatever it takes to get back to that bond he should have with his teammates and also to pursue his attraction to Geneva.I loved this couple, the chemistry, the angst but even just the understanding of the other to finding the happiness that not only they find for each other but the happiness for their family.

Loved it!
I have loved every book from Jami Davenport and this one is no exception. Axel and Geneva have sparks from the beginning and bothered overcome the obstacles to make their own happy ending.Jami’s love of hockey and knowledge of the sport is evident in her Sockeyes series. I hope You enjoy this book as much as I did!

Backstory of Heroine was too over the top.
It says a lot when the relationship between the Hero, Axel, and a secondary character, Jock, is more interesting than the love story between Axel and Geneva. I found her backstory to be unnecessary and over the top. Wasn’t the reason for the discord between Jock and Axel enough? Why add to that tension with her past relationships? Also, I’m tired of all of these super hard women who have been around the block 100 times. I found it hard to believe Axel was actually attracted to someone like Geneva. Furthermore, why would the sister of a rich, seasoned hockey player be involved with a biker dude named Weasel? Geneva came across as woman in her 40’s versus a young woman in her 20’s. No way would a brother so much older allow a much younger sister to control him like she did. Unbelievable story.

Family and hockey
A wonderful story about the family of hockey as well as the family and it’s beginning. Of course they were great love /sexing to add to that newly beginning of a family

I do like this author and was pleased ice was back albeit in a small role. Took a while to like alexis and the whole sleeping with a team mates wife. Story then picked up pace and got into it. Good read.

Great story.A woman comes onto Axel in a hotel bar and they go back to his room. He doesn’t know she is married to a member of his new team.He is now being shunned by his new team. The only bright light is his friendship with Geneva, sister in law to the woman he slept with. Can he gain forgiveness from his team and a relationship with Geneva.Well written and nice to have a new trope to read.
