A different way of thinking
Love this book. As other reviews have mentioned, this won't teach you anything about how to build or design a website. There are thousands of places you can get that information.Much better, this is a book about how to think like a business owner (and eventually become one) and how to turn your web design skills into something highly profitable. This is a must-read if you've ever thought about lowering your prices to compete with other web designers or are struggling to gain traction on Upwork.Told largely in the form of stories about two fictitious people, it is well-written, engaging and impactive. The author's approach just makes so much sense and there is a ton of valuable information in here and actionable steps. The author does run a coaching course which he mentions at the end in the last chapter. I was a little skeptical that the book would just be a sales pitch for the course, but it isn't at all. He goes through the whole process of mindset and actions to become a successful web developer, and makes it clear that the course is entirely optional. It's not a hard sell and there's no reason you couldn't go out and succeed with just what's taught in the book.I would have no hesitation recommending this book to anyone I know, especially someone who views web design as a cheap commodity.

A perfect new perspective. Informative and clear. No BS
This book will arm you with a fresh new perspective. The book isn't about coding but helps set your business mindset. After listening to the book on Audible I feel more ready and informed than I have ever thought I could be. I have more belief in myself and a better understanding of freelancing. The book is incredibly clear and layed out easily with a easy to read font size. No BS or waffle in sight. The Audible book is extremely well read and clear and IMO an investment. Rob at Fox do amazing work and I couldn't thank them all enough for helping me on my new journey. A must buy. Dont think about it, just buy it. Nothing to regret here.

This short book is a good starting point to start thinking about a new skill and possible career change, Although it’s a general guide on how to start a web design business the key message to take away is long term vision of building a business that will eventually can serve you better. I definitely think you will professional guidelines how to make web design work, I’m sure Fox web design school is a good starting point to get started.

This book changes my perspective...massively!
If you're a web designer and feel stuck in your business, this is the book for you. I like how Rob covers the business of being web designer. He explores the core fact that a pretty website isn't what sells and our focus needs to be on the business and their needs. This is a great short read and I appreciate the direct approach in writing. This book isn't filled with historic anecdotes or long winded extracts. I'm working on changing my approach towards new clients for the better. Thank you!
