Big letters and numbers
Good potable units. I put adhesive on back and mounted a stronger magnet and have them stuck in several places on metal surfaces

Great timer EXCEPT the magnet falls off!
I love these timers. They go up to 23h59min which is great for my needs. The only thing I advise is invest in some super glue! Now over 1/2 the magnets have fallen off (I have 12 of them). We just super glue it back on and it's fine but still, just annoying. Other thing to note: the alarm is LOUD LOUD LOUD. I actually covered all mine with a piece of scotch tape to dampen the sound and you can still here them in every spot of my 3000 sq ft house :-0

Countdown timer doesn't make sound when done!
As a kitchen timer, this thing is completely useless. When the timer counts down, it flashes a tiny "Times Up" message on the display. It does NOT make a sound! The manual says in Chinglish that the alarm sound can be turned on or off with the "help button" There IS NO help button. No combination of any of the other buttons will turn the alarm sound on for the timer. This is a clock, an alarm clock, and a timer. It claims it is two alarm clocks and two timers, but I wasn't able to get to a second alarm or timer using their directions. But the Mode button is very sensitive, and you will almost always end up in some mode other than what you want if you are trying to use this as a kitchen timer, which is what I bought it for. There is a little metal bail on the back that is supposed to flip out to turn the clip into a stand, so you can set it up on a counter. The clip is buried 2mm deep in a ditch that is almost the same width as the bail wire, and the non-removable clip completely covers the ditch. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to get to the bail and flip it out. So the idea of setting it upright on a counter is useless.Overall I'm pretty sure this is the absolute worst Chinese timer of any sort I've ever seen. Please buy something else.

Broke upon opening
Though these were inexpensive, right out of the box the back latch to hang/stand or magnet broke off while putting a battery in. The unit still kept time but is very cheaply made. Hoping it can hold up as a clock.

best in class- nifty, nerdy, takes a licken and keeps on ticken
So - I mean I wish I could design the perfect timer like this because I obsessively window-shopped forever before deciding. But it has all the most important features. There is a learning curve for sure. For instance it took me weeks to figure out how to use the stop watch function, but it's there. Also - I kind of wish it had standard 12 hour AM PM display options instead of the 24 hour settup, but then again it forced me to get really good at reading the time accurately that way so that it doesn't really matter any more. But again - it is I believe the very best in its class so - five stars are deserved.

Good timer. Poor magnet application.
I've needed a new digital kitchen timer for some time now. Since I needed three, this item seemed to be a great buy. The timer itself functions nicely, and I am happy with that aspect. It counts down, counts up, and acts as a basic clock. I also like the feature that you can recall the last value set on the timer. The two-star rating is due to the poor assembly of the easel stand and magnet. It is problematic enough that I cannot use the magnetic backs and that is one of the reasons I bought these timers.I had two of these hanging on my refrigerator using the magnetic backs on the alarms. I was out of town for four days, and when I returned, I found two of the timers on the floor and not hanging on the refrigerator where I left them. The double-sided tape holding the magnet to the plastic easel back peeled loose causing the timer to fall to the floor and break open. The battery compartment cover broke loose, and the cover and battery were under my refrigerator, the timer base was on the ground, and the magnet was still stuck to the refrigerator. The adhesive on the double-sided foam tape holding the magnet onto the plastic easel back is not strong enough to support the weight of the timer for more than a day or two. The weight of the timer eventually causes the tape on the magnet to separate from the plastic easel back. After re-assembling the timers, I found one of them no longer worked. The second one still works, but I won't hang it on the refrigerator until after I stick the magnet back on with a different adhesive that properly sticks to both the magnet and the plastic easel back.

Great timer
This timer is great to have for Officials of all sports. I am an Umpire and I use these to count down the time for games. I just needed to add the batteries and it was ready to go. Definitely would recommend timer for any sports.
