Replace Your Guitar's Fragile Faceplate. . . with a Different Fragile Faceplate
The replacement faceplates for the Guitar Hero III Les Paul unfortunately suffer from the same issue as the one that comes standard with the controller: they scratch very, very easily. After only a month or so, mine had already rubbed right down to the bare white plastic on the places where my fingertips rest next to the strum bar (and these aren't even the fingers that move, mind you!).So if you're looking for something that will look brand new for a long time, then this is not a good investment. If you're just looking to switch up your style from time to time, then go for it.Also, here's a quick installation tip: you MUST remove the guitar neck to swap faceplates. The instructions are confusing/misleading in this regard, but if you try to remove a faceplate with the neck still attached, you'll risk snapping the faceplate in two.
