In love with my pressure cooker
A great purchase. Magefesa and Fagor are the two real brands for pressure cookers and you will notice how well build the cooker is. It works great and I love to use it a lot. I have used it for my own recipes and used the recipes in the Magefesa website ( http://www.e-magefesa.com/index.php?option=com_phocadocumentation&view=section&id=2&Itemid=17&lang=en ) and YUMMY!!!I have used aluminum and steel pressure cookers before. The aluminum ones rust and do not distribute the heat as well. This cooker in particular is great distributing the heat. You can see the thick multilayered bottom which is designed for this purpose and does a fantastic job. You realize of this when you open the cooker and you see that there is nothing stacked to the bottom like in cheaper models, where some areas are heated more than other and the food gets stacked and not evenly cooked. The handles feel very sturdy and solid even after months of use (I've had it for 6 months using it one to three times a week). The pressure regulator can be removed and washed. This is something I have never seen before in these kind of cookers and it is very nice, because the regulator always gets a little build up and end up failing. But in this case you can take it off and clean it.The manual have some typos and sloppy translations but frankly nothing too terrible, and it is super easy to use. These cookers are built in Spain and are not cheaply done in china, so there is an extra level of quality there. The only con is that is a little heavy, but after all it is stainless steel so what could you expect.

My favorite cooking tool
I bought a Magafesa pressure cooker back in 1997 and it lasted till 2021. Finally got around to replacing it recently. I got a small size since I’m usually cooking for one. My favorite things about this brand: really intuitive functionality; easy to clean and maintain; and for my previous cooker the customer service was excellent. I hate instant pots—give me a stovetop pressure cooker any day. Super functional product.

A great benefit to those cooking at altitude
I bought this because I live at altitude and water boils at about 200 degrees F here. That was enough to cause some significant problems in my cooking. Beans never softened. Artichokes took hours and still were tough. Corned beef was chewy after a day of slow cooking. I finally realized it was because of the effect of altitude. This pressure cooker solves it. I suspect any pressure cooker would. But this one looks good, has a setting for 15 psi (some only go to 12), was reasonably priced and large enough for cooking for a family (8 quarts). So it met all my criteria and has worked very nicely so far. It still takes some experimentation. The instructions that came with it were overly optimistic about how fast it would cook, but even adjusting for that optimism (which could have been based on assuming you were using the pot at sea level in which case it would cook even hotter and faster) it still is much faster than unpressurized boiling and cooks some things that I couldn't cook well no matter how long.

Works great, quiet operation, fair price, weird pressure release
I got the 3L Magefesa Practika Plus. It is a fair price for a stainless steel pressure cooker made in Spain. It builds pressure just fine, and there is an indicator on the lid, but it's easier to just wait for steam to come out. The pressure regulator is quiet. It comes with an instruction manual in English and one in Spanish. Having 2 pressure settings is nice to have, even though I just use the higher setting all the time. The only problem is the pressure release. If you are using it on the left side, handle facing left, the pressure release will release the steam right at you! If you are using it on the right side, handle facing right, the steam will be released behind/away from you. However, the steam is released in a controlled manner. So, if you are cooking with it on one of the left side burners, turn it around before releasing the pressure! Why don't they just make the steam release from the top? Make the steam shoot up instead of sideways!

Excelente...
The media could not be loaded.

Impressed by the Super Fast Pressure Cooker and Amazon experience
I recently purchased the Magefesa Practika Plus Super Fast Pressure Cooker and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed!Despite the fluctuating prices online, Amazon honoured the original order price, which was a great start. Upon arrival, I noticed a small shipping chip on a side plastic component, but it was nothing a little superglue couldn't fix quickly and effectively. Amazon helpdesk also ensured warranty support like all other purchases. The cooker has exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly easy to use; the lid slides on effortlessly, creating a secure seal with minimal effort. What's more impressive is how quickly it comes up to pressure, saving time and energy. Cooking with this pressure cooker has been a delight, as it performs consistently well across various recipes.Overall, I would highly recommend the Magefesa Practika Plus to anyone looking for a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly pressure cooker. Great overall quality and performance. Definitely a worthwhile investment for quick and delicious meals!
