I have picked this book up because I was intrigued by the fact that it was a mix of short stories and poems. I have not seen this much before and I was interested to see how this authors mixed poetry and prose in his debut publication. Also, the theme of soulmates and twin flames is quite spiritual, which I thought would lead to some interesting poems and outlooks.Twin Flames is a collection of 9 pieces, 7 short stories and 2 poems. In the book, poems are alternated with stories. All of the pieces feel quite magical, with chance encounters and guardian angels, and are mostly about love and affection or the lack thereof. There is a running pain throughout the pieces, which I read as a metaphor for human existence and the sense that we are put on Earth to painfully wait for our moments of magic. I won't go into detail as to what each of the stories and poems are about, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the writing in the short stories. They were incredibly wholesome and comforting while also being enthralling and quirky. Some of them feel as if they are connected, with the characters reappearing after being reincarnated. This further adds to the magical feel of this book.The main themes of this book are spirituality and love, and they perfectly merge to tell stories of love and heartbreak, comfort and pain, intuition and surprise, karmic punishment and serendipitous manifestation. A running thread is the duality of the good and the bad, light and darkness, which are both bound to occur and to balance each other out. Twin Flames is different than anything I've read recently. It is a book for a romantic reader, one who will be open to dreaming and believing the perfection of the spiritual world. If you decide to read it, you will find it a very enjoyable read, which will bemuse you and make you think at the same time.

What a beautiful book, full of lovely stories, conjures up the imagination and the author has shown love, forgiveness and gratitude in the poetry and stories. I was looking for something different and came across this by accident, I’m glad I did. I found it very profound. Great value and you are taken on the journeys with the characters. Trying to find other books written by this author. 5 stars for this beautiful book. I have bought one each for my friends.
