I have had a sleeve gastrectomy. It has caused me to taste things in a funny manner, absorb things strangely, and lose hair. This was probably the 6th Biotin I gave a try, including chewable (which have carbs). This is my third purchased bottle. When I dont take it my hair thins, when I do take it, my nails and ONLY THE HAIR ON MY HEAD sprouts out. The pills are not a huge capsule, with white powder inside, go down smooth, smell and taste like nothing.

As an outpatient at Walter Reed NMMC, Bethesda, I consulted my pharmacist X2, to get her take on the safety & efficiticy of this product. She could neither recommend or dispute my taking it BUT felt it was "safe" and worth a trial for scalp-hair loss due, likely, to surgical trauma.I'm on my 2nd trial bottle w/no adverse effects and likely arrested/restorative hair and possibly finger/toenail health. I tried Biotin for a month, mostly for my hair. I read somewhere it would help grow my hair faster. I am hypo-thyroid, & my hair has been thinning a bit, & that annoys me greatly. 30 days later, not only is my hair a bit more dense/thicker than before, my complexion is improved, & my nails are amazing! I am quite pleased, & will continue this supplement on a daily basis!

I have ordered this product a few times. It is a good product that works. Easy to swallow.

Have tried other Biotin products in the past, did not notice changes as significant as present with this product.
