simple installation
this hitch was a breeze to install on my 95 f-350 with no help. the front and rear holes lined up with the holes already in the frame just had to ream them out larger and with those bolted up drilled the center holes .the blocks that lock in the carrige bolts in frame rail had to be ground to clearance the frame on two of them but very simple over all would buy again.

Fit like they said
I installed this hitch on my 1994 Ford F-250 Super Duty. I have the rear factory step bumper. I used my motorcycle lift to lower my spare tire and lift the hitch into position. I then C-Clamped the hitch on both sides. One of the forward factory holes lined right up and I drilled it out. I then installed the 1/2" bolt on both sides. Measure closely and stay away from the upright channel in the frame rail or the bolt will be cocked against the frame. Lowered my lift and step drilled the last holes. The instructions call for 110 foot lbs. on the final torque. I and my wrench only goes to 75 ft. lbs. I also used thread lock on the bolts. The install took about an hour. I didn't have to modify my tire carrier. I have 17" tires on my truck. The hitch comes with 3 bolts on each side. You can install a forth bolt & washer if you supply it yourself which is overkill. The price was good, cheaper then my local trailer place and they wanted $120 to install the hitch. I am 63 years old, with lots of surgeries and never installed a hitch before. No sweat for this old fart.

IF YOUR PUTTING THIS ON A BRONCO READ THIS 1ST!!
94 BRONCO. 1ST THIS IS NOTHING AGAINST AMAZON!!! THEY SHIPPED THE WRONG PART OUT SO I HAD TO WAIT AN EXTRA 4 DAYS TO GET THE CORRECT PART. AMAZON WAS SUPER HELPFUL TO GET ME THE CORRECT PART WHEN THEY COULD! THE ONLY OTHER ISSUE IS, IF YOU HAVE A BRONCO THIS INSTALL IS KIND OF A BEAR!! THE DIRECTIONS SHOW YOU JUST DRILL SOME HOLES AND YOU BOLD IT IN PLACE. ON A F150 THAT IS TRUE. NOT ON THE BRONCO. WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOWER THE FUEL TANK WITH A BOTTLE JACK SO YOU CAN SQUEEZE YOUR FINGERS IN TO PUT THE BOLT AND WASHED IN. ONCE THE TANK IS OUT OF THE WAY ITS SMOOTH SAILING. IF YOUR NOT READY TO DO THIS THE INSTALL WILL TAKE SO TIME. ESPECIALLY IF YOUR TANK BOLTS ARE AS RUSTED AS MINE WERE!!!! SO WHAT SHOUKD OF TOOK 60 TO 90MIN TOOK 2 DAYS SO THE BOLTS COULD SOAK OVER NIGHT. OTHER THAN THAT, ITS A CURT HITCH AND YOU CANT COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT!!!!

Nice but DO NOT buy for Bronco unless you plan on dropping the gas tank
I gave this hitch 4 stars because it's a nice, well built, heavy duty hitch but DO NOT buy it for a Bronco unless you plan on dropping the gas tank for the install.Per the instructions for a Bronco:"A 1/2'' CARRIAGE BOLT AND SPACER MUST BE PLACED IN EACH HOLE. BECAUSE OF THE TIGHT CLEARANCE WITH THE GAS TANK THE TWO FORWARD HOLES ON EACH SIDE MUST BE FISHWIRED. THIS IS DONE BY WRAPPING A THIN WIRE AROUND THE END OF THE BOLT AND THROUGH THE SQUARE HOLE SPACER. USE THE ACCESS HOLE IN THE CROSSMEMBER NEXT TO THE FRAME, TO FEED THE BOLTS THROUGH."This is very, very difficult to do (without dropping the gas tank) and you also run the risk of drilling blindly into your wiring harness on the drivers side frame.None of this should be a problem for a F150 installation as I don't believe the gas tank interferes with the location of the holes.

Easy Fit & Looks Great
Fit well on my Ford F-250 4x4 Ext. Cab. Tucks nicely under bumper revealing only receiver. Four 1/4" holes (two on each side) already exist and line up perfectly with holes in receiver. You'll need to drill these up to 1/2" holes and after receiver is mounted you can create a new hole for the center bolt on each side of the frame. I musceled it up by myself, getting a nut on each bolt thread to hang it before tightening. Would have been much easier with an assistant as receiver is awkward and heavy. Installs in about an hour. Ordered two items with free "two-day" shipping. I had ordered so I would receive, and install, on a Friday. One item arrived on Friday as promised, but for some reason this receiver didn't come until Monday, thus ruining my plans for that weekend. With only a few weekends of summer left, that kinda frosted my sack. All-in-all, this is probably the best receiver out there at any price for a mid-90's Ford F-250.

Technically Fits
Went to install on my 1977 F100. It has stock suspension and this hitch sits way to low to be able to tow many trailers without a very tall step hitch. It is also to wide and interferes with the shackle mounts on the truck by 1/4" per side. Not impressed but it does do its job.
