Straight

This was the first Dick Francis book that got me into reading his works. It’s been my favourite since, and I just had to get a copy for myself! Book was used but arrived in really great condition

If you are stressed then read a Dick Francis and you will feel so much better

One of the most action-packed of Francis' books, its events and the hero's reactions remind one of the famous characters by the same author, Sid Halley. Immensely readable.

It's rubbish of course, about race horses, racy whores and ? Oh yes. Money. Silly me. I was led by the title to expect an intricate excruciating coming out woeful drama, packed with thomas hardyesk coincidences and ending in mutual suicide before bedtime. Luckily, perhaps, this has a happy overtly explained ending. Heartily recommended for the rash-hearted in a rush.
