Got it in the post quite quickly from Amazon and decided to start the same afternoon I got this juice. It's quite pricey as it's mere a juice that contains multivitamins which can help you not to miss out on vital nutritions whilst you are fasting. I am 6'3\" tall and I weighted 15st 1lb when I started it on Saturday. I am now at 14st, lost 1st and 1lb in 4 days. It's very important you don't go straight back to eating crap after the 48 hour period. The first day is the hardest as loads of people mentioned. For me, it was the first night it was the hardest as I live by myself and I knew there were something I can eat in the fridge. Woke up next morning, walked about 45 minutes (it's important you don't do intense workout when you are fasting as there is no calorie intakes to handle the deficit. Also you would not probably have enough energy to run about and do weight lifting either). Was 5 lbs down in one day then the second day gets really easy. You would probably have forgot about food but if not, your weight loss from the first day would set your mind on fasting not food. After second day, I've lost 11 lbs. BUT it's VERY VERY IMPORTANT that you don't eat like you used to 48 hours ago. Diet is a science. When you fast for more than 24 hours, the body goes into a 'defensive' mode. What it does is that the body knows you are not eating so after you fast and when you eat, the body tries to store every nutrition you intake and turns it into glucose to use it as energy as if your body fears if it does not get enough energy again. If you try to eat like you used to, eat crap food (high in fat and high in carbs), it will convert everything into glucose and will store hence you put your weight back on. Something called 'basal metabolic rate' is that the calories you burn whilst you are resting. The rate drops when you fast as well so sometimes people do put more weight on than before which frustrates people a lot and think fasting does not work. In fact, fasting is a great way not only to lose weight but also to recover your health. Your digesting organs get enough rest and it truly helps to detox. Sorry for the long scientific explanations, but what you do is this. Every fasting requires a 1-2-4 recovery phase. If you just fasted for a day, you go on a liquid/pureed diet for 2 days then you eat solids but at half the portion you use to eat (high in protein, less in carbs) for 4 days before you go back to normal eating habits (though it's never good to eat high carb high fat meals regardless). So after this 48 hours, it's good if you drink juice for another 4 days or if you want food, have soups for 4 days then halve your portion of high protein diet (like fish or grilled meat) for 8 days. So far, I have been on pureed diet (it's my 4th day including 48 hours) and I have lost additional 4 lbs. If you are thinking of buying this. I really suggest you to follow this instruction. It's your choice if you want to go back to normal meals right after 48 hours but I have seen a lot of reviews on this product saying it did not work and such.Other than that, the product itself is good. It's quite tasty (taste like tropical mango juice) and if possible, it's good if you take laxatives a day before or on the day you start fasting. Doesn't half give you the kick you need to be mindful of what you eat. I'm going to do it as my fast days on the 5:2. It's 400cals a day. Perfect. I weighed myself again and was devastated to find I'd gone up to 11.11 overnight (I fluctuate quite a lot in 24 hours sometimes). I started this and although I accidentally drank 5 drinks the first day so only had 3 the next I was happy to find I wasn't hungry and my finishing weight was 11.5. So, I lost a few pounds of which I'm aware most is waste and water and it was easy enough to do, but I think to really benefit I'd need to do it for 5-7 days in order to actually notice a difference. Good product if you need to shift a few pounds quickly or fast a few dats a week as part of your diet routine. Oh, but be warned, you will pee a lot so make sure you either have a good bladder or are in range of the loo for the most part.
