I ordered said product thinking it a good deal because of the price( 10.00 compared to 29.95), now I understand why. Tho the picture shows the model we're all use to seeing in the TV ads, it's not what you get. What I got was an earlier model, without the food shute and press. Though it's similar, it's not the same, hense the low price. The model I got uses the lid for the food press, and no shute, but a divider to convey the product into the processor. While it may work as well, I did not try it as I felt it was misrepresented and returned it. This notice is just to make you aware of what you are purchasing, the product may work fine, but your not getting the indicated product.

The slice-o-matic has made it easy for me to get my potatoes and zucchini sliced evenly. I borrowed an old unit from a friend to make scalloped potatoes. I didn't need the Pusher just push the handle and before I knew it the entire 10 pd bag was sliced perfectlyI don't know why the negative reviews as I love my new unit.. that took forever to find online.

I was skeptical about this one, but pleased that it really does work well. Descriptions and ads that I have seen stated that it was dishwasher safe but instructions include warn that it is not dishwasher safe. I would still recommend this slicer. Shipping was fast and the price was good

I will try anything once. Another new gadget for the kitchen and if yer on blood thinners like myself,this is most likely the safest machine you can buy without a cord. It works great on peeled onions and tomatoesand cucumbers and most other soft veggies. It did seem to hang up a bit on celery and carrots though. For the most part of it i liked it better then the rest. The slap chop is great for onions also.

Works just like it's advertised you do not push down on the vegetables while going through it

This version is an improvement over previous models especially the hand-lever systrem for slicing. It seems the big issue now will be to decide what vegatabless your family may want that can justify using a somewhat complex machine to do the work for you. As before, only time will tell how durable the plastic parts will continue to be reliable and working to remain effective.

I use the Slice-o-matic often to slice potatoes for scalloped potatoes. The machine wasn't the problem. It was the condition of the device. There was brown gunk all over the bottom of the machine. I soaked with bleach and water to be able to use.
