MEROCO Montessori Language Miniatures Objects

If you are looking to create Montessori phonological awareness activities, don't bother with this. Doesn't represent all the phonemes you need, quality is poor, and there is a lot of overlap in sounds. Not to mention that not all of these are age appropriate for something billed as a Montessori educational material. What kid is identifying a beer stein as part of their phonological learning?

I’m really disappointed that it’s not a complete set. Not enough pieces for the whole alphabet. Some had way too many objects and some letters had no objects at all. Save your money and put it towards something more comprehensive.

A fraction of the items pictured arrived with this order. I was sent a handful of plastic animals for $16.99–obviously useless if you’re trying to use them for teaching an entire alphabet. It’s a total scam, and I’m sending back for a refund.

I bought this for a homeschooling activity for my daughter who had previously been in a Montessori program, and it was totally inappropriate for that purpose, despite the name. The animal figurines weren't very realistic looking and very cheap. The other objects were mostly branded junk food items (coca cola bottle, starbucks frappuccino, etc) and it included a mug of beer and a bottle of liquor. So... not the best educational tool.

There weren't enough of each letter... and way too much of some, i.e. "s"
