Expensive but it fits
I feel like Fluval products are a little junky in that pieces of their filters constantly break. It’s sad that Fluval has made a profitable department out of replacement parts.Anyway, this product is what it is, and O-ring.

It does fit my FX 6 canister
As I search for a replacement I see this but kinda skeptical if it will work on my FX6 even though some users says it will work. And I would say it does work and someone recommended getting the silicone grease and I would recommend that as well so easy to remove the hose now without damaging the o-rings. I have to order it here as it will take less time for delivery but got this same product from other site almost half the price without prime delivery so I ordered my spare from 3rd party which will take 5 days.

It's a must have...
My Fx5 is used to filter Turtle water. When you connect and disconnect the in and out ports, the rubber seals wear out. People say it's not a good filter. This is the most effective canister filter I have ever owned. People don't do a yearly cleaning. I spend the Hour on cleaning my hoses cleaning the gunk out of the motor housing, and change the click to fit O-rings and the top cover 0-ring every 2yrs. The 20$ in replacement rings is great to have on-hand. When you open the top and change the media and reassemble the filter. When you plug it in and water is squirting out the sides or you can hear air getting into your filter... It sucks. The O-rings wear out after you connect/disconnect a hundred times. The Ugly Green Rip-off machines need maintenance too. There made a bit better, but It will cost you 80$ to replace the Ehiem media.

Fluval for life!
I've been using a Fluval Fx5 for nearly 10 years now. Still running strong. Last month, it sprung a minor leak and I immediately knew the O-ring went south. I ordered these replacements, which come in a pack of 2. I put the new O-ring in and the leak was gone. Fluval also charges a reasonable price for these rings. Some companies will nickel and dime you, charging its customers an exorbitant amount for essential replacement parts that are bound to go bad. But not Fluval. They stand by their product and know happy customers will return to buy more Fluval products.

get two packages
product is from Fluval and as advertised. I bought two packs thinking I would have a spare. didn't look close enough. you need two packages for replacements with a total of four (4) O-rings. so if you want a spare get at least three packs.

A must have on hand. 2 per pack 1 pack per filter use silicone grease!
Like anything else that gets use it us wise to have spares of these on hand! Especially if you don't live your rubber after each servicing of your filter. Grease will make these last a very vwr6 long time! But even then they will ware and if yoi dont have filter parts on hand your in for a lot of problems!

It's the real deal (official Fluval replacement/spare part)
Not much to say really. I had an o-ring split on our Fluval rig, fortunately it has 2 on each connector for redundancy.Bought these as a replacement, and they're a perfect fit.Value for money? I'd pay this every time over a flooded living room!

They are O-rings
Fluval is a money making company. They made this specific size so you cant goto your local hardware store and buy O-rings they wont work.
