Humble Bee111 Cowhide Beekeeping Gloves with Extended Sleeves

These are great. They cover my arms up to my elbow, which is awesome because in the summer heat of Texas who wants to wear a full suit! These offer great protection for those accidents that make happy bees not so happy during inspections.

Got a pair for my husband and myself. The are made well the fit is great. Seem very easy to work with.

Love the safety of them.

I’ve only recently began working with bees, so in researching products I came across the Humble Bee line. I really really like the fit and protection of these gloves. I would definitely purchase again.

I am a new beekeeper so I don't have experience with other gloves. With my limited frame of reference (these are the only gloves I have ever used), these are fantastic. The long sleeves come up to my biceps. If I don't have my fingers all the way in the end of the gloves fingers, I lose a lot of dexterity. As long as my fingers are all the way into the gloves fingers I feel like a have good dexterity in spite of the barrier between my fingers and whatever I am manipulating. Although the leather is very supple you don't really get much tactile sensation through it. I have only seen one stinger stuck in the finger of the glove and it did not penetrate. These gloves, along with the Humble Bee suit, give me the confidence that I am protected that enables me to relax and enjoy working with my bees. As a beginner, I am in the hive 5 to 6 days a week as I try and learn what is going on with the bees. Over the three weeks I have had my hive, these gloves have kept me from being stung and I have squashed more bees that I care to admit. I'm sure there are other quality golves out there, but these were reasonably priced and so far have offered excellent protection. If I find deficiencies down the road, I will update this post and let you know. After three weeks, I give them a hearty 5 stars.

Both sets I ordered were small. I did order the largest 3xl and I could not get them on. They are soft and well made just small.

I bought these for my Dad who is a beekeeper, I measured his hands and the size suggested fits him perfectly! He says he loves them, they're very comfortable and the leather is nice and supple so he has great dexterity. The one problem- it must have been when he had his hand squeezed, and the leather was tight against his skin, he did get a sting from one bee. I asked if he wanted to return them and he said quickly said, "NO!" He thinks that it was just the perfect split second where the leather was really tight against his skin and the bee got lucky. The other reason he said "NO" so quickly is because despite the one sting- he loves them and says they're still the best gloves he's had so far because of their suppleness and the dexterity they have allowed him. He also likes that these DON'T have the band of breathable fabric above the wrist- he had some like that and got multiple stings through the mesh, and the mesh ripped and bees got inside and stung him then too! So he loves that these don't have that at all. Overall, great gloves that he loves.

I am a novice beekeeper and initially just bought a pair of gloves from a bee company. Although I ordered a small, they fit me huge but that was the smallest size offered. One year down the road, I felt like I needed to buy gloves that fit my small hands and wouldn't make it so hard to work around the hive. I was ecstatic when I received them, they are small, perfect and XXS fit me perfectly and they are just long enough to cover over my elbow. I am so happy with my purchase. The leather is a beautiful honey color and very soft and pliable. I can actually grab small items with no problem. I will be buying a spare pair just in case they ever run out of this size. I highly recommend this company as I purchased a bee jacket and it is just so awesome. If you are looking for gloves, look no further, just be sure and measure your hand and compare with their size chart and you can't go wrong.Update: I returned ventilated jacket from HB because it wouldn't protect against Africanized bees because of the ventilation and I accidentally returned these brand new gloves that I had placed inside the cloth pouch with the jacket!😩
