Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack

Super Mario Galaxy was the first main-line Mario title for the Wii, and with that sweet sweet disc-based storage came the room for pre-recorded music. And Galaxy makes a big impression with a sweeping orchestral score that captures the vastness of space while retaining the memorable melodies and quirkiness that Mario soundtracks are known for. Favorite tracks are the title theme, Gusty Garden Galaxy, The Honeyhive, and Melty Molten Galaxy.

This cd is a christmas present to my two mario galaxy loving boys. My husband and I listened to a few tracks before we wrapped it to make sure it sounded fine and worked, etc. It was fantastic! It had all the songs that I can think of from the game. I love the music to the Mario Galaxy game and I'm so glad they have a music cd to listen to. My kids love the Zelda soundtrack that came with Skyward Sword and still play it all the time a year later. I know this cd is going to go over great with them as well.

This work of Mahito Yokota and Koji Kondo is a masterpiece. It should be no surprise that the soundtrack from one of the best received games of all time is equally fantastic. Each piece will remind you of how well it fit with its setting. The soundtrack contains what are arguably some of the most memorable tracks in the game. The only drawback is that, of course, it does not contain all of the tracks in the game (Such a large soundtrack would not be feasible to release on a single CD, hence the "Platinum" version). However, for the price, it's a great selection of content.

This is an entertaining little collection that provides about an hour of music, and contains all of the orchestrated music from the game (mostly level and boss themes).Be aware though, that it doesn't contain everything that could be considered "music" in the game. Things like the invincibility theme and the music that plays on the balance ball, don't show up in this collection. Apparently they can be found in the "Platinum Version" of the soundtrack, but that is obscenely expensive and was not worth it to me.For the few bucks, this soundtrack is definitely worth it, and a nice orchestrated change from the usual heavy-metal stuff that dominates most modern games!

I purchased this since it's so hard to find the music from this game on apple music or spotify. I was not disappointed, it really brought back my childhood for a little bit. The songs and audio quality are great, though you definitely get the sense that it's missing some music from the game. I didn't mind too much, since this soundtrack is such a great price.

My daughter loves this CD. We play it every morning on the way to school. She names every stage the song is from. The music is actually very well composed. Each song sounds like a quality production, not some cheap video game music. The CD arrived in perfect condition and we are very pleased. It was a great buy.

Mahito Yokota and Koji Kondo have really created a beautiful, Fun eclectic cutie and often epic in scale, this is one of my favorite sound tracks. While the music has many motifs from past Mario games it feels very fresh and new! If you are lucky enough to find a copy of the gorgeous album you should pick it up!
