Q: Does this mouthpiece come with a Lead warning?

Yes, Bach along with all major manufacturers include the lead warning because the brass the item is made from might contain trace amounts of lead. The mouthpiece is silver plated which acts as a barrier and would not allow any contamination to the player. The warning is there because of a technicality not because there is any risk to the player. Any item made from brass has this potential issue, this includes keys, door knobs or anything made from brass.

Q: Does this mouthpiece come with a lead warning?

I found no mention of lead with any of the packaging or documentation that accompanied the mouthpiece. I made my purchase in 2012, so the rules and regulations about lead disclosure have changed, but there is no mention of lead or any possible risk of lead with the mouthpiece I ordered. Perhaps a more recent purchaser may have different and more up-to-date packaging and can respond with their findings.

Q: Does this contain nickel?

Bach mouthpieces are made from machined brass and then finished in either silver or gold electroplated. Bach does not make nickel mouthpieces,

Q: Is this mouthpiece any different from a king 6 1/2 al #1656hala? (i'm trying to replace a vintage king 11m and the conn rep suggested the 1656hala)

6 1/2 is the rim diameter. A 6.5 size mouthpiece has a rim diameter of one inch. The AL does not mean aluminum, it means the mouthpiece has a larger throat and backbore. These mouthpieces are made of brass and then silver plated. Pretty much all 6.5s have the same rim diameter, no matter the manufacturer. The "shaft" going into the trombone is either small shank (bore sizes of .480 to .525) or large shank (bore sizes of .547 to .562). This mouthpiece is comparable to a King 6.5AL
