This light works great. It's comfortable to hang over your neck. I like that it only lights on one side, so I can face it away from my partner so it's not in his eyes. I also like that it's 3-way adjustable in brightness. I can often read on its lowest setting, but sometimes I turn it up a bit. I've had it for a while and only needed to charge it once. Charging is very easy with the provided cord. And when I'm not using it, I fold it up into its heart shape because it's cute that way!

I recently ordered this product. On one hand, I like the design and that you can wear it around your neck (it's very lightweight) and the universal jack-type charge (comes with plug-in charger) makes it easy to charge and you don't have to feed it batteries. But I haven't been able to use it as much as I had intended so I can't really say how long the charge lasts. The two downsides for me are that I really wanted the lowest light setting to be dimmer and it's still very bright for my purposes (reading in bed after my husband is asleep.) The other problem is that the finger-touch power-on and light settings; low, medium & high, are too sensitive and sometimes even a bit of movement will turn the light on. I've had this happen when using it in the bedroom and a very bright light comes on and annoys my husband.It's a great idea, but just needs some tweeking in my opinion.

I bought two of these as gifts for two book loving ladies. I was actually intending on getting book lights that clip right on to the book, but I couldn't find one that didn't have fatal flaws (instability, flickering lights, short life span). This heart book light is a little unconventional, but since it had good reviews I thought I'd give it a try. Plus I didn't like the idea of my grandmother trying to fiddle with a clip-on book light that needs constant adjusting and might end up falling on the floor.When I received the first heart book light in the mail I took it out of the package to try it out. It comes with just a USB charger, so I had to find an adapter so that I could plug it into the wall to charge (which was followed by me going back to Amazon and buying a couple USB/outlet adapters to include as gifts). The book light has a red light that glows when charging. It shuts off when complete. Once it was done I took it into the bathroom at night, completely dark, and put it around my neck to see how easy it would be to read. It rests very comfortably. One side of the heart has LED lights and the other is just white plastic, I suppose to provide some reflectivity without being overwhelming. It operates by sensor touch on one side. Once you know where the specific spot is to tap to turn the light on, you're golden. Each tap takes it to a different setting, with the final tap being OFF. I don't need reading glasses and could read well enough on the lowest setting - it's a dim, soft light. Medium light was perfect. High light was a little too bright for me.I like how it only lights up on one side. This way if you are reading in bed, or on a plane, etc, and someone else is trying to sleep, you just make sure that the bright LED side is facing away from your partner or fellow passenger.I'm not a big fan of the color pink and would rather others available (other people mention other colors but this listing only listed pink), but it isn't a deal breaker. Overall this is a magnificent little light and it will be my go-to from now on versus the clip-ons that seem to be overwhelmingly terrible :)

I absolutely love these lights and both my girls love them. However, I’ve had to replace one that stopped working and now the other will no longer turn on. Great idea but for not long lasting.

I bought four of these so that each of my kids could have one of their own. I love the idea, but they are cheaply made. One use for one, and it stopped charging properly. Not even a month of use, and another looks and feels like it is about to fall apart. These are far too expensive to have them breaking and/or malfunctioning so soon after purchase. I will not recommend. It's back to cheap booklights for us. I'll be replacing as often, but not throwing away as much money.Update: After writing the above review, I received two replacement book lights in the mail unexpectedly, without even asking. A few months later, all lights but the one that quit charging are working. So I rescind my negative review, and now say you can't go wrong with this one! My kids really love these lights, and they are much better than the ones we have used in the past. I love that they are rechargeable. And the company really does stand by their products and works to make sure their customers are happy. If these come available again, don't hesitate to buy. If you happen to get one that does not work properly, the company will make it right.

I bought this in July because of all the great reviews. I was excited for it seemed to come with a lot of functionality. While it has great potential for these things it missed the mark on basic functions. For instance: the switch to turn it on is not a button. It's some touch sensor under the plastic that is such a pain to figure out. Then when the batteries are low forget about turning it off. I've lightly used mine for 3 months and I believe mine is broke. I can't turn it off no matter what I do. I have to plug it in and hope that helps. I charge it and still have the same problem. Anyways, it's a wonder why I haven't smashed this thing it's very annoying to operate. And for the price I am extremely disappointed about it's quality. I was excited for it, and now I desperately want my money back. Save yours.

Is it supposed to only light up on one side? I'm not even sure if mine is broken. It's cute, it does the job, I just wasn't super impressed with the product.

My daughter loves this item. She is four and it really helps her when she needs a bite real light at night for comfort. I love the different brightness levels also! I will be buying more as gifts!
