MTS 809E "C" Foot Joint Flute Case

It is very hard to buy a case that fits as well as the original. In fact, I really haven't ever seen one. So I can forgive the fact that this isn't molded PERFECTLY to our flute. We have a King "C" flute. It fits in this case, it's just that the molding doesn't "fit like a glove" as well as original. What discrepancies there are, aren't of concern to me. The case is padded with foam over a mold. Even though the molding isn't PERFECT for our flute in particular, the flute is protected & won't jostle around. I wish the foam was a little more depressed in a couple areas, but that may occur over time as the flute settles in. In the meantime, I have no reason for concern of too much pressure or stress on the keys or rods where the foam isn't sunk in to perfectly mold flute. The latch hinges are definitely stiff but that will get better with time and it provides better protection against "floppy" latches that could open unexpectedly and damage the flute. The latches feel pretty secure so I'm not concerned about that. It is a very sturdy case. Although I wouldn't recommend tossing a flute to the ground, I do believe this case is strong, sturdy, and padded enough to protect the flute against bangs, bumps, & falls. I have played flute for over 30 years & my daughter now plays my flute. She's pretty rough on the flute and old case (unintentionally) through inherited uncoordination and too much faith in cooperative music stands, chairs, and gravity in general. I do believe this case will be an added step of security & the flute will thank me for it. Although this case doesn't perfectly mold our particular flute, I will still give it 5 stars because I can't think of how a case COULD perfectly cradle all varieties of flutes. Not all flute brands/models are EXACTLY the same. It does its job fine, is very sturdy, and a great price.

I started playing the flute this year, so I had to use it's case, It was brown, rusty, and 40 years old! So I finally got a new case when the handle broke off. I found this one and it was Great! It fit my flute perfectly, it's strong,and it keeps your flute safe, it's sturdy,light weight, and very descent looking.Cheap price! and came in Great condition! I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a new case.

Original case broke, found this one with purple lining and was excited by the color, disappointed when received but as stated by a previous review " not worth sending back". It is durable (so far) and was received in timely manner. The picture is deceiving and should indicate color as BLACK not purple.

Nice case, the lining on the inside is NOT purple like the photo shows. The lining is BLACK! Not worth sending it back, but not the color I was looking for.

My daughters flute fit great! Its handles and joints are strong. And very durable.

My old flute case was falling apart, and i desperately needed a new case. So i got this one. This one is great, sturdy, strong, and a great price! If this lasts a while, I will most definitely buy this again when it falls apart. The clasps are nice and strong, a bit heavy, but that is more of a pro than a con. So, if your looking for a flute case, buy this one!

This is a basic flute case that does its job. It's simple and inexpensive yet protective and functioning. I put it on the roof of my car and forgot it was there so it fell off about 5 minutes later. When I retrieved it, it was a little banged up, but it had remained closed and the flute was still perfectly intact. It's a good sturdy case.

I bought this case for my daughter. It is cheaply made. The handle broke just over 1 month of using it after the return period expired.
