Perfect for 5 year old
Very sturdy and my 5 year old loves it. It can only be steered by leaning; you cannot twist the handle bars to turn and must lean to direct it. But that is not a setback. Would purchase again.

Would have given 5 stars but
This scooter was a gift for our 2yo for her bday and she’s now 2.5 and is an absolute PRO! She loves the fact that she can steer with the handles or by leaning, and the 3 wheels help her feel super confident. The ONLY reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was because the wheels don’t light up as advertised. So that was a bummer. Also I do wish that it was foldable without having to dismantle the entire handle. BUT it’s still a great scooter, it rides smooth, and it’s very much worth the price! I would recommend this to any kid who is just starting out on the scooter!

Great Starter Scooter
I bought this for my 18 month old daughter and she loves it! I was a little wearing of the “lean to glide” but after watching her use it, it is most definitely the safest option for a starter scooter. I was a little shocked how quickly she took to it!

Plastic arms holding wheels are a weak point
Everything seems great except for the Plastic arms that hold wheels on. They aren’t very sturdy. My 3 year old weighs 32 pounds and I don’t see them holding up very long. I’ll probably just make a metal bracket to substitute when they break. Everything else seems fine, but it would be annoying returning this for an obvious weak point that I would consider a flaw. The turning radius for a lean and turn is also very wide, which is just a trade-off for the better stability over a typical two-wheeled scooter.
