This midi keys stick was the perfect fix when I wanted some extra pistons for my virtual organ.Initial setup is simple ...just read the instructions...and once installed meshes simply with the Hauptwerk software.

I bought the 128 key keyboard to help with recording and live streaming church services by an all-volunteer crew. It has been a huge help. We use it with vMix video mixing software along with 2 robotic PTZ cameras and 1 manual camera. I setup the keyboard to isolate all the preset camera shots so that the two PTZs each have their own row. Transitions that move a shot from the preview queue to the live view have a row and all the title effects are clustered together. Buttons are also clustered that present PIP (picture in a picture) with a live person inserted into a multimedia presentation (song lyrics, prayers, etc.). I also have keys setup to control the multimedia.Unless a special shot is needed from the manual camera, the entire service can be managed using a detailed script and a series of keystrokes. No fumbling around looking for a shot with a mouse or on a touchscreen.The keyboard accepts "activators" from vMix turn light a key red or blue under a predetermined condition. I have it set up so that whatever camera shot is currently live will turn its associated key red. Works like a charm.Thought enough of this device that I added a 4-key X-keys stick so that a second person can manipulate multimedia to relieve some workload from the primary operator.The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because I really wanted to light keys blue when their associated shot is in preview and red when live. Unfortunately, each key can only be associated with one programmed activator. When I setup activators to turn a particular key red when the shot was live and another activator to turn the same key blue when the shot was in preview, the keyboard response was unpredictable. Red when live is critical, and that works perfectly when only one activator for the key is set.

Makes repetitive commands a breeze! XKeys are the way to go!! This takes multi keystrokes and combines them into a macro, operational with a single button press :) This unit has BLUE lighting.

I have a couple of X-keys products. The workmanship is great. I bought this little 4-key unit because I wanted to program some key sequences for a computer for which I have no admin rights (and therefore cannot install custom software). With this USB stick, I can use the company's (Windows) software to program the unit, and then I can use the USB stick on the other computer without having to install any software on the other computer. My only complaint is that the company's software is Windows-only, but as long as you have access to some type of Windows machine for setup, it works fine on a Mac. You can also use Keyboard Maestro on the Mac to create triggers based on the location of the hardware keys on the USB stick, so there is some limited Mac compatibility. Anyway, it's one of the more useful gadgets I have bought lately.
