Dimaka 34" Tall Ultimate Cat Scratching Post, Claw Scratcher with Sisal Rope and Covered with Soft Smooth Plush, Vertical Scratch [Full Stretch], Modern Stable Design 34 in Height (Beige V2)

I bought this post for my cat in 2021 and the reason for reviewing two years later is because I am going to buy one again. My cat is 3 years old so quite active.It's easy to assemble and lovely that my cat has a post where he can really stretch out. He uses it every day and given that it's had 2 years constant use, the sisal has stood up well. I have it sitting on a laminate floor and I have not had any problems with it sliding. I don't have anything weighing it down but have no trouble with it tipping up and he can be quite ferocious with it! I do have it sitting next to a wall though so maybe that makes a difference.

It’s quite tall so good for big cats. The fabric at the bottom does get destroyed would be better if this was also searchable fabric not faux fur.

The media could not be loaded.  My cat absolutely loves it. She stopped scratching the couch and uses the scratching post instead :) I was afraid it would topple over, but even when my cat goes crazy it stays in place. The small ball on the top is a fun little addition

It is great for my large cats! Simple, affordable. What's not to like :)

Unfortunately this cat post was more expensive than a previous one I had bought from Argos. I replaced that after 2 1/2 years as it was starting to come loose. This one has lasted 5 months and will now need replacing. Don’t bother if you have cats that actually use it.

If you have a small kitten this would be perfect but for adult cats I wouldn't recommend. The actual scratcher is stapled to the base and with 2 adult cats swinging off it, it quickly and easily gives up.

I decided to get rid of her cat tree as she’d never looked at it even. But the night before my neighbour was collecting it she decided she was going to start using it, I had already ordered this.So the cat tree goes and this arrives, it goes lovely in my kitchen, not in your face it just blends in. It’s lovely and tall for her. Unfortunately whether she’s annoyed or what, Cleo simply won’t use it.Maybe if I threaten to donate it to my neighbour.

The rope that surrounds it isn't as thick as my previous cat tree. Can tell the cats can't properly dig thier claws in. Had it approx a month now. Quality looked like it was lacking on arrival and a month in is showing, strings have already moved significantly to show the inner base. There is a lot of staples in the actual tree too.I will say though younger cat loves to shimmy up the entire thing like she's auditioning to be the greatest pole dancer.Older cat is still angry I chucked the old disheveled cat post out I think. She likes to claw at it everything she passes and doesn't with this one as much.

Our cats are very hard on their scratching posts, and we have to replace them every 9 months or so. This one is holding up quite well after a few months, but it has started to fray and the rope has ripped in a couple of spots. I just tie two ends together and that helps to prolong its life a bit.My cats don't ever play with the ball at the top, but that's just not their preference. I like that it's tall so they can really stretch out while scratching.

I purchased this item in March 2021 and it's still in use. I had only one cat then but now I have two and the pole still looks great. It was very easy to assemble and it's beautiful. I only removed one star because the base is too light. I had to put a 10-pound weight to hold it in place, but I didn't find any scratching pole that is heavy enough.

I never write Amazon reviews, but I can't believe how much my cats love this scratching post, so here I am. They use it all the time. There's something about their claws and the rope that they can't get enough of!I have a small 8 lb 9 mth old kitten who loves to climb everything, and this post is no exception. She'll use it to stretch and scratch, and also just has a blast scrambling up and playing with the ball on the top.I have a large 1 1/2 year old cat as well, who is closer to 14 lbs, very tall, and all muscle. He's recently started using my doorframes for scratching because they're only thing high enough for him to fully extend his body and get the stretch cats love with the scratching. It took him a couple days, but now he just runs to this to scratch and leaves my door frames alone.The scratching post is SUPER easy to assemble, my only warning is that it's not very stable. The base is large, but very pretty light. I weighed down two sides with 10 lb dumbells and that solved the problem, but with even just one dumbell even my little cat almost pulled it over scratching.I highly recommend this post! But definitely have a plan for weighing down the base.

The media could not be loaded.  Better quality than expected and is quite sturdy. The only thing I had to do is find a way to stick the tower down, as it does tumble over when she leans on it. However would highly recommend due to the quality.My cat Jessie in this video is 16lb and 22inches long and it's perfect for her.
