I currently have a ring pro. will the pro 2 fit in the same spot?

The Ring Pro 2 will be backwards compatible with the mounting holes you've used for the Ring Pro, and will not require a Retrofit Kit. Does this work without a subscription? What protection do you get without the subscription?

Yes, even without a Ring Protect Subscription the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 can still be used to watch over your home and answer the door from anywhere. Without Ring Protect you’ll still receive real-time notifications when anyone comes to your door; and, you can answer the notification to see, hear and speak to visitors in real time right from your mobile device. The Ring Doorbell Pro 2 will provide you with 1536p HD Live Video, Color Night Vision, 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s-Eye-View, 150° horizontal by 150° vertical Field-of-View, and Two-Way Talk with Audio.

Without a subscription to Ring Protect, you can not review any videos that were missed in real time, and you won’t be able to save or share your videos with anyone. I do not have a existing chime. Can i wire this directly into my 16 vac transformer?

Yes, you can hardwire the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 directly to a Ring transformer (not included) with 16-24 VAC/24VDC, 10-40VA max, 50/60Hz. Please note, halogen or garden-lighting transformers are not compatible.

Can I not turn off the doorbell circuit breaker and just be careful not letting the two wires touch to each other? As it is so hard to find the breake

Find the breaker and turn off the right circuit. If they are not labeled you can turn them off one by one and press the doorbell button to see if it has power. You could also set a time to let everyone know you'll be working on the doorbell and turn the main breaker off to everything to be sure. A cheap multimeter, electrical outlet tester and proper gloves would be a good starter kit for basic work.
