EXVENT A7 Louvered Exhaust Vent

Only one picture given & description could be better but exactly what I needed.

In order to make the product fit properly, I had to cut the total length of the product's tubing with sharp scissors on the opposite side of the v-shaped fold. I then cut (3) short strips of duck tape, and while sliding the cut portion into the v-shaped fold, I taped the tubing together, which made the diameter of the tubing slightly smaller, and assembled the rest of the product without much difficulty. The modified tubing then fit snugly halfway into the existing exhaust tubing from the outside wall into the inside dryer apparatus.I have had no problems after installing the 'modified' product.

If you have this already attached to your house and you're looking just to replace the outside piece, it is very easy. If you are looking to install the whole thing, you do have to take the siding off around it to install it which is a pain. I was lucky. I found the one that was already installed. My top louver panel kept staying open. The new one fixed this problem. Again, very easy fix if this is the one you already have on house.

Fit as expected. Would have been nice to have instructions to know if dryer hose was supposed to go inside or outside of the pipe connected to this.

Way too expensive, but what I needed was one of the louvres. I had broken one of mine cleaning out the lint, and really didn't want to replace the entire vent. None of the vents at the big box stores were a close enough match, which is sad because they were only $5. This one is an exact match to the ones on my house, so it gave me the easy fix I was looking for.

Exact fit to what I have currently. I need a replacement for the broken flap. I wish it has my exact color. Got the tan but in need of almond color.

Unless you want to remove you siding that is...and I did not. Still, I am fairly handy and so was able to make this work using just the out piece. But this is essentially a snap together two piece unit...the first part requiring to be below your shingle. In that fashion there are no visible screws. My make do solution had me using some stainless steel screws with the outer piece and the overall effect is not bad. I guess I was drawn to the color which mostly matches the color of my house. And unless this thing is absolutely flat, the louvers will not work properly. My end result works, but it is not what I would call elegant or ideal.
