I wouldn't trust these in a slide
I received these gloves and my first impression was that they may possibly be faux leather. Online it states they are made of aniline goat leather but the product lacks any tags that state the same. They only say "made in Pakistan."They are slick, shiny and squeaky, unlike goat leather I'm used to. The gloves are good looking and fit well but between the questionable leather, which is very thin, and the unimpressive stitching, I would not trust them to hold up if I ever went down. I've found better gloves at a $25 price point, so I'm returning these.

They aren't bad gloves but...
First, they seem well made, the distressing might be a bit much, but as far as style, little design accents, and construction goes, I like them. The leather on the palm, especially the fingers, is too slick. I'll have to scuff them up to add a little grip, otherwise my fingers want to slide off the clutch and break lever. They don't at all fit as expected. In fact, I don't understand the sizing at all.Every pair of gloves I own are size large and they all, more or less, fit as expected none are too tight, some might be a little too big. These seem to be too small. The cuff is WAY too narrow, especially considering it has a hook and loop strap to tighten them as needed. At first I didn't think I could squeeze my hand in. Once I did get my hand in the glove things were more confusing. It fit snug, but wasn't uncomfortably tight. What was uncomfortable was the finger tips. Every finger, except the thumb, was too short resulting in the stitching pushing in to my finger tips, I could adjust them enough to make them more comfortable, but it's annoying. The thumb, on the other hand, is a bit too long. This isn't a huge problem, but it's weird -- are my hands and fingers weird or are the gloves weird?I would go a size up, but I'm worried an XL would be too big, especially for my thumb and create a different problem, so I'm going to try and break them in and hope they stretch out and fit just right.I got them through Amazon Warehouse at a great price so I'm not too worried about it if I ultimately don't wear them, but keep the sizing in mind when ordering.

OK - depending on price point.
I would reiterate the review from 'J. Ground' and others.First, I am large in most gloves...but the larges (Downey Khaki) were $63 and the x-large were $26. Reading reviews and small fingers and with Amazon Prime...I thought I would try the x-large for more than half the price and return if needed.Good News:1) They arrived through Prime as promised.2) They were $26 (I would not pay over $39.99 for these)Bad News:1) The first and immediate thing is the color. I ordered the 'Downey Khaki' and from pictures and the other 'Khaki' gloves on the sight, expected a lighter tan/Khaki color. Instead the color is a very dark burgundy/tobacco/brown. Sort of a weird brown.2) I ordered a x-large and received a large. Not a huge issue as I would have preferred to order size large originally, but not at $63 versus $26.3) I agree with others that these are not the best quality (they are made in Pakistan as a lot of cheaper leather goods). The leather is thin, the stitching seems like it will rip over time, you can feel seams in flinger tips. I would anticipate only lasting one season of riding.4) Sizing: The large are 'smaller', snug, but not uncomfortably tight. I too am worried than an X-large might be too big. The initial Velcro cuff is tighter/smaller to get your hand into considering it has a hook and loop strap to tighten them as needed.5) The black smooth leather on the palm, will need to be scuffed up...it is too slick. At $26 I will keep them and wear them or not. Biggest issues are the not anticipated color and the flinger tip stitching.

Great gloves for intermediate temperatures
Size is true to fit. But, know that the wrist is tight and you will have to stretch it a bit to get you hand into the glove. But you want it to need to be stretched to fir right. Loose glove fit is bad for riding. They are very comfortable. Velcro wrist is excellent for sealing out the air. I rode today in 40 degree weather at about 45 MPH average speed for an hour. Had no problems with hands getting cold. They also have a good grip for holding the throttle and using clutch and brake.

Returned: Too Small
I looked long and hard on Amazon for a protective glove for my knuckles and joints. I had hoped these would do the job. They look great. I really like the lack of hard molded hand armor for the knuckles and these only had reinforced leather over the knuckles. Got the and couldn't get my hands in them. I would rate these as fitting smaller than sized. There is no lining inside the glove. Alas, I had to return them for being toooooo small. Recommend them in larger than you think sizes.
