Dani KatesGirl Stuff: 24 Totally Girly Coloring Pages

As the name implies this book is an awesome celebration of all things girly! Great variety in the designs with some including more white space (read: less intimidating) and also some more complex ones with lots of details for you to color in. I've included a few representative sample images. I'm excited about this book! Not only will I enjoy coloring it (I don't mind admitting I'm just a grown up girl) but it will be a great activity for my daughter's friends and her while watching a movie, or as an icebreaker for a tween/teen girl activity, or just as fun accompaniment to a girls night in!The images are all hand drawn by the author, Dani, and not simply computer generated images with no soul (there are a surprising number of adult coloring books like that out there... ) The images include manicures, makeup, butterfly, tons of cutesy heel/dress/mannequin pics, shopping, music, dance, sweet treats, best friends, jewelry, hair, purses...even unicorns. In other words, a wide range of fun stuff. What's not to love? Great non intimidating amount of detail - the images will keep you busy for a few hours but you won't be wondering if you will *ever* finish them.The book has 24 images. The paper is a nice bright white and the pictures are one sided. Not super thick paper, but thick enough to easily use markers. The pages are not perforated in case that is an issue for you. I myself prefer to slice the spine off my coloring books ($1 at the local office store), scan them, and then print the images on cardstock. I have yet to find books that show up with a paper weight as thick as I like - but I understand production costs would be way up there for a book with that type of paper weight. So that's my work around.In conclusion? This book is light hearted and whimsical and it will be a blast to color for all the girly girls out there. :) I was sent this book for free and invited to review it if it caught my fancy. I can honestly give it two thumbs way up and am happy to have been introduced to the work of Dani Kates.

 This Girl Stuff Coloring Book is such a fun coloring book for a teenager or adult. I’m 47 years old and am having so much fun with this one. There are 24 designs in it and full of pictures of everything us girls like to do from shopping to baking. All designs are one sided and the pages are not perforated so if you want to remove one, you will just need to tear or cut it out carefully. The pages are about the same thickness of a regular sheet of computer paper. I always place a sheet of poster board or a few extra pieces of paper between the pages so when using gel pens or markers, they won’t leak through.There is quite a bit of detail and design on all the pages with some having a little more intricate than others. Dani Kates, illustrator of this coloring book, has done a great job with it. All the lines are nice and clean and nothing is shaky. I own a few books by her and they all have been great. In my video, I show you the 24 designs in this book so you can see for yourself and then decide if this is going to be a book you are going to enjoy.
