Must have book to get expertise on Configmgr Reporting
I have created a lot of SQL Queries, SSRS Reports on my blog (...) and I have never explained, how you can create SSRS reports on your own. I know that, it is not easy to explain in blog post about the SQL/SSRS Reports. There are lot of books released on System Center Configuration Manager, but there is nothing specifically for Reporting (in-depth) until now. Even though this book is listed for ConfigMgr Current Branch, everything within it also applies to earlier versions too. This book was written by Well-known Configuration Manager MVP Garth Jones and his export Co-authors Dan Toll and Kerrie Meyler. The Unleashed book written by Experts is really fantastic and it has all the content what is needed for you to get complete knowledge on Configuration Reporting, RBA ,SQL views ,SSRS Report Builder and lot more. You’ll walk through installing and configuring SSRS, using SQL views to find the data you need, writing SQL queries, creating basic and advanced reports, and using role-based administration to securely deliver those reports to the correct individuals. Think that most people will love the end of chapter exercises! It help you truly understand the topics within the chapter.Regards,Eswar (...)

Rock Star Reporting
System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM / ConfigMgr) is a robust and complex tool used by SysAdmins to manage systems in their organizations. Similarly, working with reports, creating reports, and generating reports with ConfigMgr can become a complex task and challenging. We all know that the built-in reports are not the best and often don’t yield the results we want to achieve. To get around some of the limitations, you either need to create your own reports or use third party solutions such as the wonderful reports from Enhansoft which are easy to install, configure, and to use. Well, Garth Jones, the owner of Enhansoft has released an awesome book to help clear the mystery of reports and make it super simple for anyone to follow the step-by-step instructions with the intelligently laid out chapters.Whether you’re a beginner and want to learn how to create and work with ConfigMgr reports, or an expert who want to improve your reporting skills and rock it to the next level, this book is for you – I highly recommend it.

A must have if you are not already an expert in SCCM SQL reporting services.
I was used to using the regular web reporting from 2007 and avoided Sql reporting services. I picked up this book and it really helped me understand it from beginning to end and I'm now writing much more complicated reports from scratch.

The book for sccm reporting!
After going fully through the first 4 chapters on tsql as that wasn't my strongest discipline and a cursory look though the others, the book looks very promising. After finally getting my head around inner joins, outer joins and full joins I am now looking Forward to the next x chapters on actually producing these report's.

Outstanding book for SCCM reporting - look no further
After digging a lot deeper into SCCM 2012 and its renewed reporting capabilities I quickly discovered that Microsoft had left out a serious amount of documentation about how all that reporting stuff in SCCM 2012 really works. After searching (almost) the entire web for a better documentation how to get the most of SCCM reporting, this book seemed to be the one and only resource currently available that explains the whole thing in a way, no other documentation currently does.Garth has done an outstanding job in trying to introduce even SQL newbies (like me) into the very internals of the SCCM database structure, giving some basic recipes how to build your own SQL queries and get useful results very quickly. After reading the main parts of the book I was finally able to build my own queries very easily and - even more - further develop some of the examples provided in this book.It took me now longer than 2 days to really get into the whole thing.Buying that book was one of the best investments I've made in the past years and I really recommend it to anyone who is sincerely working in SCCM and building reports for any audience (no matter if technicians, admins, management or help desk). Thanks Garth for the outstanding work
