I received my Vostok Kommanderskie watch exactly on time. That is after the first one I ordered vanished. The first attempt was either lost or stolen. I had ordered it but it never arrived. I got a refund but still, I was disappointed.I reordered from Amazon and about four days later, it arrived. I love it! As a real watch junkie I love all things about wristwatches and especially ones like this with its quirky nature. It has the mesh bracelet and rotating bezel with date complication. The watch has a surprising heft to it which I wasn’t expecting. It feels very low tech and the screw down crown feeds into that with its primitive feel and function. It wobbles like all Vostoks and the “clicks” are barely noticeable when searching for the second position for winding.The hack function works well enough and the instructions explain how to “cheat” and reset the date without having to roll the hands forward twenty four hours per day. I’ll leave you to discover on your own in the directions supplied.This is a much loved addition to my collection and will probably get its fair share of attention competing with all the other watches I own. It’s that much fun to wear!

I really like this watch. At least, I really wanted to like this watch. But, while it ran a little fast, every two or three days resetting the time would do. And from what I have read on line it should not be too difficult to adjust the fastness of the mechanism. The bigger problem is that it started to quit working at random intervals. At first it would drop three or four hours during the night while I slept. I reasoned that as this is a self winding watch then maybe I had never wound it up all the way and it was just stopping during my sleep from non movement. I made a point to start giving the mechanical knob a few winding twists every morning like I used to do with my watch as a boy before all watches had batteries. This seemed to work, or at least I thought it was working. Now it is stopping during the day way too often to be any sort of reliable watch. Just now I see that it has dropped 30 minutes, and just three hours ago it was correctly set and well-wound. I love the yellow color and I shower with it daily so it is definitely water proof. But, I only purchased this in November and now in early August I have to admit defeat. This watch is just not worth it. There is no way I can trust the time it is keeping without checking with my computer, phone, or looking at a different watch and really, what is the point of having a watch that cannot be trusted to keep time? I am tempted to buy a different one as a really want to like this brand. Maybe I got a bad one but, at this point I cannot recommend it.

The media could not be loaded. A bit cheap looking but cool.The only downside is changing the date.You will need to cycle through 24 hrs on the watch multiple times.If not worn every day plan on spendin 5 minutes to cycle through to correct date.Otherwise its good.( Be ready for some looks from some people when you say it's Russian, if you're not woke, you know the drill.)

Exceptional value +/- 30” the 20mm lug width allows a better strap selection as well
