What a great game! My 27-year-old son wanted this game for Christmas and it looked intriguing so we bought it. We were able to play it (5 players) in January and how fun! So different than any other game. Seems fairly simple at first but does require planning and plotting to do well. The 'pieces' of the game....the clear 'cards' are colorful and lovely and creating the paintings is sometimes an 'oh!' and sometimes laughter. Definitely recommend. Not sure of the age suggestion but older children I would think.

This game has to be made by people who love board games. The rules are easy to understand and the art for each game in the set are absolutely gorgeous. You can even keep some of the portraits you made as art for your room and the board games box can be hung up and used as art. All three boxes make a beautiful picture when put side by side. Absolutely worth the price 100/10!

I have just begun writing reviews and I did not think to leave one for a game that already had many reviews, but I just have to say: this game is truly a masterpiece! Everything about it is so polished and must truly have been a labor of love. It is everything you could want in the game, as beautiful as it is brilliant!

Very different and artistic Game. It is súper easy to understand and quick to start with new players. A really awesome Game. If You have a Lot of imagination You can create stories for the paintings make it Even more fun

This is a terrific and unique entry level game that can, however, be enjoyed by a wide variety of gamers. The rules are simple; but, the decisions can drive you crazy. Perfect. My wife of 47 years, a wonderful sketch artist in her own right, has begun to find gaming difficult due to Lyme and fibromyalgia. I bought this game based on its theme and what I learned of its game play through several videos. I thought if anything might bring her back to the table, this might. I was right. And, again, it's all because the game play is simple, the scoring is simple; but, the game does challenge with the occasional frustrating demands for choice . . . . Do I lose this to gain this? What will give me the most bang for my buck; the most points in the long run? And, a bonus for us: a pair of well designed solo variants that allow us to sit down and play as a team against "Vincent" who is merely there to steal possibly valuable cards away just when we knew we wanted that one. And, did I mention how unique the transparent cards are to game play? All-in-all, we're enjoying Canvas.

The box is supposed to be a work of art so it's a real bummer it didn't come like new. There's pieces of the design missing on the corners and sides which isn't the most noticeable, but if you're buying something new you'd hope it'd show up like new. Game itself came in good condition.

Love this game! It is can be as challenging as you want it to be. All the game pieces are high quality.

This is just a components review:~This is the base game with cardboard pieces but the game mat is made out of fabric.~Overall thin box with a sliding inner box that slides in and out of the top of the outside game box.~All small token pieces have enough bags to be stored individually .~there is enough sleeves to fit background and rule cards.~all of the transparent paint cards fit in the smaller storage box but I’m not sure if it will fit all of the cards if combined with other two expansions.~inner box gives a spot for where to place game components~whole box with components can be hung like an actual piece of artBeautiful components although it would have been nice to have the wooded kickstarter pieces I think the solid cardboard tokens are enough.Only gripe is that the inner box doesn’t have dividers to split components so they rattle all over the place but over all a great looking game and center piece!Game review in process-
