Fussy baby loves it
I received multiple baby carriers for my baby and as a newborn he hated every single one of them. The wraps were too hot or it was too awkward getting him into them and all the non-wrap carriers were too big for my 7 pound newborn. I also got too frustrated with how long it would take to tie the wraps around me while he was screaming his head off wanting to be held.I came across the K'tan brand and thought it looked far easier but I knew he'd still be too hot in the original fabric. So when I saw the Active version, I figured we'd try it. I'm so glad we did! It took about a week to get him used to being put into the wrap but once we got that down he was super happy. I'm in Texas so I usually put him in the wrap with just his diaper and he's good for a 30 minute walk in the summer heat. I've only tried the hug hold so far and he pretty much falls asleep after a few minutes of steady walking. The wrap was great when I went back to work at 6 weeks and he would sleep in this carrier while I sat at my home office. The wrap is so minimal that it just doesn't get in the way.The wrap itself is pretty straight forward in how to put on and it washes quickly. It's very breathable for me too but it's definitely not a cute "look" if that's what you're about. This is more of a function over form carrier. The material isn't very stretchy either which makes me wonder how he's going to fit in it as he gets older. The biggest drawback is that I can't wear it for very long as it has zero lumbar support; my already feeble back will start hurting after about 30 minutes of wearing. Once my son hit the 12 pound mark I basically had to stop using it but it was great up until then. I was given a "vintage" baby bjorn around the same time and it's been great but more bulky. I should probably try one of the other K'tan carry positions to see if those are comfy now that he's able to hold his head up as I do really like the K'tan Active.I followed the size guide and bought an XS based on my pre-pregnancy size of 2 but postpartum I think I'm more of a 4/6 and the wrap does seem to fit tight. I know that it's supposed to be tight but I think i would have liked to size up to see if it was easier to get my little guy in/out better since the Active material has almost no stretch.

Baby carrier
I’ve used this carrier for both my babies! It’s the BEST carrier you can get and it’s compact, so it even fits in my back pack! My baby falls right to sleep in it!

Maybe a bigger size
It’s feels really tight, I order the X small size according to the sizing chart, but when I put on a sweater it’s feel even tighter and uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and weigh 135. My son is almost 6 months old and weighs 20 pounds . I had been using it to see if the k tan will stretch out.

Complicated
I wanted to love this wrap but it was so hard to figure out the sizing. I ordered three different wraps (and returning them isn’t super easy you have to print label and box it). I have never used a wrap before and they can be super intimidating so I wanted something hassle free that would give me just what I was looking for for me and my baby. The first 2 wraps, one was so tight and the other was super big. I ordered a third in a different size (I tried small medium and large) the third one I got was this one w the thinner breathable material so it turned out larger (which is probably the size I needed in the knit/cotton one) than if I probably ordered the knit/cotton one again. I probably could’ve loved this had I gotten the right size but getting there was so difficult I just gave up and ordered a regular wrap. I’m just going to have to learn how to use it. This is so I can be confident that my baby is worn appropriately as I can tie it as tight as needed vs trying to find the right size. Best of luck!

easy, quick and perfect for a chronically warm baby who loves being worn/held!
Our son is a little hot body and so while we had prepared for his arrival with a Babyhawk and a Boba 4g, we quickly realized that we'd have to save those heavier carriers for the fall/winter. After some searching, we discovered the Beachfront Baby Wrap and thought all our prayers had been answered. The beachfront wrap is amazingly light and kept our little furnace from overheating and we love the idea that we can eventually use it to take him swimming in (I'd suggest it over the k'tan for water adventures and please read and obey the safety warnings re: use with an infant)....however, its still a wrap. 15 feet of fabulously bright green mesh fabric that, while versatile enough everyone from myself to my husband to my parents can use it, still takes quite a bit of fiddling around with and isnt ideal for quick trips or to load a suddenly fussy baby into.Enter the Baby K'tan!! I initially tried the Breeze because I thought it would provide better ventilation and comfort for me and our little man, however the fabric was still just heavy enough that it wasnt optimal for us (and it only came in black or white on Amazon....white anything with a baby is asking for trouble and black would get WAY too hot in any type of sun) so we swapped it out for the Active carrier and love love love it. On top of being super lightweight and compact, the ocean blue is fun and very visible (the safety nerd in me likes bright colors so that when we go on walks we're visible to vehicles) and its insanely easy to use. I was skeptical of this sort of carrier because I felt there was no way it could measure up to a traditional style wrap, but I was wrong!! Our little guy is a snuggle king and generally doesnt sleep during the day unless he's being held so this allows me to actually get things done while still keeping baby happy and content. I also have a terrible back and this is comfortable enough that i'm able to wear it for hours and a time with little to no back pain or fatigue. The fabric has just enough give (not as much as a traditional or breeze carrier) to be extra comfy but still feel very secure. This has made all the difference in our errand running as well; we opted to not use a travel system with a 'baby bucket' carseat so we still need to carry our lil guy when we're in stores and this is perfect to throw on really quick before getting him out of his car seat and I dont have to worry about the ends of a traditional wrap dragging on the ground of a dirty parking lot.The only cons I have with it were that it took a few order and returns to get the size right (i'm 5ft5in and currently 180lbs but I have a smaller upper body) so I thought I'd be a medium but I turned out to need a small. Also, because the carrier is so personal in sizing, my husband is unable to use the baby k'tan and so for the price, it is rather limited when compared with other wraps/carriers.

Excellent all round
Already had the standard K'tan but both me and baby were getting too hot in it.This is excellent at keeping both of us cool in the sun and is much tighter than the standard one which means I don't have to keeping pulling down the cross at the back or redoing the separate band every 10 minutes.Excellent product and highly recommended from a babywearing Dad!

Great idea that misses the mark
We loved this idea but despite the precise sizing chart, I think the fit is difficult to perfect. Sizes are based on pre-pregnancy weight but don't account for the amount of weight gain or loss since then... As a result, it couldn't adapt sufficiently to my changing body size in combination with baby's changing size. As a result, my little one always seemed a bit squished. Perhaps one of the other designs with bit more 'give' in the fabric would have been better but this one just didn't work for us, no matter how much we tried.

The best thing you can buy for LO
I was looking for something like that since my baby was born.I've found lot of sling and had one but is so uncomfortable to wrap specially for me now...I'm going on holiday by plane and was looking for something more wearable and confy for both.I just opened now the package and tryed it. Soooooooo nice. Beautiful color and exactly my size!I will recomand this K'tan to my mums group

Makes baby fussy but good for a few minutes to have hands free
I really liked the feel of the material for this carrier however I regretted not buying a baby carrier with clips as I felt constantly worried that the baby’s head was not supported (she is now 3 months old so it’s less of an issue but in the earlier months it was more worrying). Due to the carrier being quite tight I haven’t managed to carry the baby in it for longer than 15 minutes or so as it makes her quite fussy but maybe as she grows older I will manage to carry her for longer. That said, it’s nice to feel baby against your chest and to have hands free when the baby doesn’t want to be put down.

Haven't used it yet as the baby is still due.But not impressed
The baby is still due and I haven't used the wrap. I used the online calculator for the size and got XS but to be honest not sure if it will be a good fit - seems too small. Though people mentioned in their reviews that it stretches once you wear it with the baby.So will have to see. The quality of the material is just like a sport vest and looks like it will be catching on things and will have threads pulled after some time. The other reason I gave it 3 stars is because I think it's overpriced for what it is.
