Yamato's 2002 1/60-scale Hikaru's VF-1J was an amazing transformable toy that wowed fans back then. Thanks to today's advances in toy engineering and production, Yamato now brings us a totally revamped version of the variable Valkyrie from the "Macross" TV series with sharp new detail, more accurate proportions, and Super parts to boot! Another sweet new feature is the tinted canopy for added realism. Of course, the VF-1J can switch between Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes. Armaments include four missile pods, four anti-ground missiles, gun pod, two backpack missile pods, two booster packs, two arm-mounted micro-missile pods, two leg-mounted propellant tanks, and six anti-warship missiles. The armor covers for the backpack missile pods, booster packs, and propellant tanks are removable to reveal the intricately detailed inner mechanisms. A sheet of marking stickers, canopy cover, and an in-scale sitting-pose Hikaru Ichijo pilot figure are also provided.
