Genuine Welch Allyn 3.5V 72200 Rechargeable Battery

As an old family doc, I keep this kit at home to check out the grandkids ears and stuff. My hand piece is in great shape, but would not hold a charge. Turns out the battery was like 12 yrs old. This one works like a charm. Never get rid of your Welch Allyn equipment. I have had mine since 1977.

It is great. Haven't used my otoscope for ten years as I am retired, but need it to examine my own ears so bought a new battery. It charges immediately and my scope is perfect again!

If you buy one of these, you need to immediately install it and confirm that it works. My battery arrived dead, and it will not charge at all. Unfortunately, I waited too long to install it, so I'm outside my return window. I'm not happy about that at all.

I received the first battery and it did not hold a charge and did not work at all. I ordered a replacement which came promptly and did work as expected The second box was sealed and the first one was not - makes me think the first one was opened or tampered with or was a prior reject. Both had the same date label April 21 which I suspect is the year. So likely the same lot. no other identifying markings except typical WA wrapping. All in all, the second one works but had to hassle with the return. The Kohl's return process however was smooth.

Came promptly, works fine.

This battery held a LONG duration charge on my otoscope - performed well, glad to have a replacement Welch-Allyn battery, even though company is under different ownership now.

As expected. Works perfectly.

Did not hold a charge for more than 5-10 seconds. Defective. Giving it two stars because they are shipping me a replacement at no cost. Expiration date on battery was 9/2021
