Balanced, refreshing flavor
This tea tastes nicely balanced and refreshing to me. The citrus isn't as overpowering as some others I have tried, but you can definitely taste it. The black tea is a bit on the light side. It isn't super strong, but it's not weak either.I think a lot may have to do with how it is prepared. The instructions on the bag don't make a recommendation of how much water to use, but in the listing, it says 6-8 ounces per teaspoon. You want to use vigorously boiling water. I use a glass teapot with an infuser, and I steep for 4 minutes, which is on the longer side of what is recommended. You can try adjusting these to your preferences.I just added a packet of stevia. I haven't tried it with milk yet, but I will update if I do. I would try brewing it 4-5 minutes and using extra tea leaves to bring out more flavor to stand up to milk.Admittedly I'm not an Earl Grey expert, but I've had it many times. I think this captures the classic flavor. I appreciate that it is organic with natural flavor and is made by a small business. I recommend it. Just note that this is a .92 ounce size which is more of a sample size or could be good for a gift basket.

First time making a true, brewed tea - taste great
This is the first time that I actually used loose leaf tea to brew a cup of tea. For me, and I'm not overly picky about most things, it tastes fine, very smooth and not at all bitter. I noted on the bag NOT to use boiling water, so I even made a point of letting it cool just a bit. I got sidetrack during the brewing time, so instead of the recommended 2-4 minutes, it brewed for closer to almost 10 minutes, making it a much stronger brew. Just another comment: I like a strong brewed tea. I found the taste to be very similar to the better quality Earl Grey tea bags that I've used, but the bergamot flavor is strong enough for me to pick it up but mild enough not to overpower. The bergamot is generally not in the bags I used, so maybe that's why it's a bit more obvious to me in this tea. I find it a nice added "note" to the flavor. As another review mentioned, once the bag is opened, no way would it close. Put it into another container - not a huge deal but kind of a pain to have to do & the bag should be able to be reclosed. There is supposed to be 10-15 cups in the bag, and that seems to be determined by how much of the tea is used each time. My little strainer hold the 1 teaspoon (measured it out) as recommended on the bag to use. The current price for the bag 0.92 oz so not even a full ounce, is $6. Since I don't buy loose tea - just finally bought the tea strainer - I have no idea is this is comparable to what is available locally or line. This has changed my mind on using loose leaf tea. Will be checking into other flavors and using more often.

Where is the Bergamot ??
Well this is just a complete disappointment. It tastes like plain black tea. This is supposed to be Earl Grey Tea, which is flavored with Bergamot. But there are neither Bergamot flavors, nor Bergamot scent, nor Bergamot flowers in this tea. I used to buy a lot of Heavenly Teas, both for myself and to be shipped to family members. I recently ordered some for both my sister, and for my niece. Then I ordered some for myself, and am shocked that this tea is so flavorless. I am now embarrassed that I ordered such a boring tea also as gifts for my family members. It is too much money for a tiny packet of flavorless tea.

lovely, not too strong
Some Earl Grey is so strong that it smells almost perfumed. This has good citrus/bergamot, but still has some solid black tea flavor behind it. I tend to oversteep my tea because I'm a useless American, but it never gets bitter nor does it get overwhelmed with tannin.I use 1tsp per large cup and that's plenty, so the little bag will actually go pretty far. The tea leaves are large and whole and there isn't a lot of ground stuff at the bottom of the bag to make the tea cloudy.

Weak flavor
The plastic that forms the resealable zip somehow became brittle and broke, probably during transit. So I fished out the broken zip pieces and re-homed the tea in another zip bag. Not an auspicious start. It has a wonderful bergamot aroma upon opening the package. The tea leaves, slightly rolled, look good. I brewed as suggested for 4 minutes. The resulting tea was weak in every respect. I doubled the amount of tea to 2 Tbl for 12 oz of water. This wasn't much help. I don't know what ratio blend is in here, but it lacks the body, maltiness, and robustness of assam, as well as the bergamot I expect.I frothed steam milk and added it to my customary 2 parts tea to 1 milk ratio for a London Fog. The weakness of the tea was readily apparent, as the milk dominated the palate. I don't know how they added bergamot in a "natural" way. Personally I use food grade essential oil in my blends. To be fair, there are no rules on what constitutes a contemporary Earl Grey; myself, I've used lapsang souchong and pu-erh. So if you're looking for one that is very mild, likely using white and green teas, then this may be good for you. But I find the lack of bergamot to be inexcusable.

quite weak and lacking in bergamot flavor
Earl grey tea is usually on the weaker side compared to some other black teas so I didn't expect this to be super potent nor to stand up well to milk. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my low expectations for potency, especially in terms of the bergamot flavor which seemed to be something I could smell better than I could taste. Even with increasing the steep time to a longer one and using more leaves, it didn't gain much strength. I could only really use this to augment the strength of another tea and add a different dimension to it. It really wasn't particularly interesting on its own.
