Life In The Fat Lane: Fat Music

I bought this cd late compared to the other reviewers, but this cd must be really timeless because I love listening to this album and I bought it in 2009. I like almost all the tracks on this cd. A lot of these bands are underrated like: Strung Out, No Use For A Name, Lagwagon, Avail and many others. This is my first Fat Wreck Chords cd I bought and I think I picked the best, but I'm going to get more of this label. Survival of the Fattest and Physical Fatness: Fat Music Volume III are going to be the next cds I'm going to get. This album take me a couple of listens to make me love it!My favorite tracks are: May 16 by Lagwagon, Coming Too Close by No Use For A Name, The Exumation Of Virginia Madison by Strung Out, Taken by Avail, San Dimas High School Football Rules by The Ataris and My Favorite Things by Me First & The Gimme Gimme's. This a great cd, I would recommend this album!

In my humble opinion one of the best compilations of all time. This is late 90s punk ear orgasmisc. If you want to feel like it's 1998 again and want to get into some good bands pick this baby up

This is a great compilation of punk bands from the 90's. If you like real Punk music then you need this album.

....ok ok I love fat comps....but this one is not the greatest....yeah I know the NOFX song is so great and the closed track from wizo and even mfatgg but that's it..this album has some nice unreleased songs from no use for a name and good riddance but after that starts a boring environment....I think it needed some propagandhi stuff......or something.....but don't get mad....this album is quite greater than the first edition....ok ok that's not true.....the other fat comps .are great...go buy one fellas....thy re pretty cheap just like you....

Not as good as some of the other Fat Wreck comps, but still definitely a must have. In my opinion the best song on the comp is the Sound of Music cover by "Me First and the Gimme Gimme's"-""...these are a few of my favorite things...""remember. Aggressive punk rock with nice vocals, it's great.

I thought this was the best of the Fat Music comps... For once there wasn't really any need to skip tracks because they were all awesome... The NUFAN and Ataris tracks were particularly impressive, and who can pass up Me First's cover of My Favorite Things? Anyway, buy the album--four bucks is rarely better spent.
