Awesome shovel. No more breaking wooden handles
After owning Smith and Hawken/Bulldog spade and fork that lasted 25- 30 years despite abuse of leaving outside in Seattle weather for many winters, I quickly went through a series of knock-off wood handle tools that all broke after just a year or two of use! Got a King of Spades fork a few years ago, and love it. After the latest wood handle spade broke, got this spade too. I do not fine it heavy at all. Strong, well balanced, heavy duty blade. Well worth the price (I paid $100) compared to $60-90 for a wood handle tool that breaks in a year.

Going on 4 years now on this bad boy. If you’re working on your property, you need this to make your efforts easy. Really. Best shovel…hands down.

Quality
This is truly the best spade you will ever have. It is one single piece of solid steel so there will be no broken or loosened handle. The blade is very sharp and cuts through roots that most cheaper spades can't handle. It is easier on the feet and gets the job done more quickly than any other digging tool that I have used in the past.

All other brands of shovel are far behind the Secretariat of shovels. Extremely well made, effective and durable.

THE ONLY ONE
My landscaper friend from Mexico left it at my house 26 years ago. It is the only outdoor tool I haven't broken. I'm tough on shovels. Prying is part of digging in my book. Chopping roots like an ax. (Yes you can sharpen it like an ax also ). Or ripping siding off a house. This shovel will out last any and all . I am buying two more as gifts to my sons. They will be passed on for generations.

Cuts Like a hot knife through butter!
I’m a professional landscaper. This is the shovel my workers Nick named “Doom.” The shovel of doom. I’ve had it for 15 years and it was gone one day in summer of 2019. While I waited for it to turn up went through several shovels considered commercial grade. I finally accepted he was gone and ordered a new one.I will never buy another shovel. I would like to buy the straight edged one this year. This is money we’ll spent.Another good investment is Japanese hedge sheers.
