JOMAX® Roof Cleaner & Mildew Stain Remover 60701 - Gallon

Works excellent on the stubborn black line left from the winter muck or being left out in the elements... However, The concoction is not a simple reduction with water... Must use bleach/water/jomax mixture.I initially did a water/jomax reduction and it didn't do to much...Bleach kicked it into gear, but bleach kicks everything into gear when being used in conjunction with other outdoor cleaners.I would buy and use again on my roof or stubborn siding stains, however, for anyone reading this...it's 6 of one and a 1/2 dozen of the other when it comes to cleaning less stubborn stains (lawn/deck furiture).

Used as directed, Jomax roof cleaner is not effective for removing mildew from asphalt shingles. It was somewhat effective when I doubled the recommended bleach & Jomax concentration. The photo included in this review shows the amount of roof I was able to clean in 3 miserable hours with a 2-gal pump-up sprayer, $15 in Jomax, and $5 in bleach.

Purchased this and paid a contractor to apply it. I mixed it for him following the directions to the letter. If you have no stains it will brighten your roof. However, if you have any mildew and mineral stains, it will not work. Living in the humid South, this did nothing to remedy any of our issues. Complete waste of money for us.
