Making Her His (A Singular Obsession Book 1)

Obsessed with his stepsister.
This was a first read from this author and I throughly enjoyed it, I don’t know why I like books where the hero is completely obsessed with the heroine, because in real life I would be horrified. But that’s what I love about fiction, anything goes really. When Alex’s father remarries, he’s not happy about it at all, thinking the woman is just a gold digger, he has no time for her, or her seventeen year old daughter. Forced by his father to attend family brunches, his opinion of his new step sister Elynn soon changes. He knows she’s too young, he knows she’s suffered a trauma in her past, but he’s willing to wait as long as it takes to make her his. After witnessing one of her friends giving her an (unbeknown to him) innocent kiss, he’s not waiting any longer.I loved Alex’s character, he was just the right level of alpha, yes he was controlling, but he knew when he’d pushed too far, I think he would have done anything to make Elynn happy. Elynn was no pushover either, she knew exactly which battles to fight.Overall, I highly recommend this, I couldn’t put it down once i started reading. I can’t wait to try more from this author.

Alpha meets his match!
Alex meets Elynn when her Mother Mary marries his Dad Costas. At the beginning, he was angry at his Dad for remarrying, but as time goes on, Alex starts to see Elynn as more than just his stepsister. She has her own demons to fight from her past, so will her feelings for him be able to override her bad memories, or will they tear them both apart? Who said that love was easy? Sometimes, what means the most, has to be fought for. I can't wait to read the next book.

Brilliant story
Great characters and plot. I love how the author introduces bits of the characters history and building them up, at pivotal moments in the story. I enjoyed how dominant Alex is but he worships Ellyne , who is so strong and brave. Highly recommended for +18

An enjoyable read
I enjoyed the story, especially the way that Alex picked up that all was not as it seemed with Elynn on meeting her for the second time, wanting to protect her and keep her safe before he realised his feelings. I also loved the mushroom conversation.Everything about what Elynn had been through was dealt with well, including the therapy that had helped with some aspects. I did like the way that Elynn was more than what had happened to her.The story is cleverly told with bits revealed about the 4 years Alex waits while hoping that at some point more will be possible. Alex is definitely a dominating character, but the fact that he was so careful with Elynn revealed a different side to him, especially when . I particularly enjoyed Elynn calling him out on behaviour when needed as she became more confident. This is a love story that I suspect I will revisit because it's always great when an alpha falls and when the heroine is not simply defined/ limited by her past experiences.

Great read
An interesting, modern romance. This is the story of Alex, a handsome, rich businessman with an endless line of short term lovers. His father has recently married a younger woman with a daughter and he's being forced into a lunch to play nice with his new relatives. However the 17 year old Elynn is not what he was expecting. Highly intelligent, shy and obviously dressing to downplay her looks she piques his interest in a way nobody else has. After uncovering some information that explains her timidity he is determined to be her friend, protector and hopefully make sure no other man can ever measure up to him. After 4 years he begins to think that she is ready for the future he has wished and planned for with her.Alex is a very domineering character and frequently tests her patience. As she feels more comfortable Elynn becomes more vocal and stands up for herself. She's not a doormat, she comes across as young and unsure but her confidence builds which was lovely to read.I would definitely read more in this series and from this author.

It was good.
Good. Alright. Decent, even. I like it enough to keep reading, and might look at another book in the series, but I could have done with more. The story basically skilled all of their relationship and it was lots of long term brief description over what had happened over months.

Great book
Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.
