Earthborn Holistic Primitive Natural Turkey Meal & Vegetables Grain-Free Dry Dog Food 25 lb

We have had great luck with Earthborn for our GSD. I ordered online, as our local store was out of our dog food. I received my order well before the estimated delivery date. Very thankful, as we were running very low. I am very impressed with this seller. Natural Pet gets 5 stars.

My yellow lab June has been eating this food for about 6 months now. She loves it, surprise surprise. (She has actually tried some food she did not like so much) No need for treats, she will do anything for this kibble.This primitive recipe is loaded and balanced with the right amount of Protein, fat and other nutrients to help June be her lean, muscular, beautiful and energetic self. Her coat has been super sleek and shiny sense being on this food.-Anyway I have had been on the hunt for a while trying to figure out what is best for her. She has a sensitivity to grains causing a rash but I was concerned about the heart issues that can come about with grain free.—After a good amount of research I came to the conclusion that legumes are the culprit. They block absorption of taurine which causes DCM.— I had so much difficulty finding grain feed food that did not have pease or lentils listed as the 3rd or 4th ingredient. I don’t think the study is bogus. There probably is a link to grain free foods and DCM but legumes are the issue and take notice of how many foods out there contain peas as a main source of protein. We see this a lot in weight management recipes due to peas being a lean source of protein. It’s actually crazy how many grain inclusive foods also contain peas and/or lintels. Legumes are not an ideal source of protein for dogs.Yes this food still contains sweet potatoes but they always along side white potatoes and/or peas in the study so I feel confident sweet potatoes alone won’t block taurine absorption and they also packed extra taurine into this food. Sweet potato is a high-quality carb with a lot of beta carotene.-This is my opinion and it’s always best to do your own research and do what you think is right for your dog. Most Vets get kickbacks from big brand companies like Purina who have funded the research on the DCM study. They want all dog owners to feel better about feeding their dog food packed full of corn and animal byproduct like they have sense kibble became a thing in wake of the Great Depression. This is when grain companies realized they could make a killing with their left over grain waist that could not be used for anything else. ProPlan is in my option terrible food marketed as high quality. Done with my rant, I hope it was helpful. Cheers

We have loved the earthborn holistics primitive natural because it did not include peas. Recently they updated the recipe for the primitive natural and now it has peas.The problem is the country max stores is advertising the old pea free version here but they are sending the updated version that has peas!When I asked for a refund they told me to go through Amazon but the product was not eligible for a return or refund. Then they told me to ship it to them but they refused to pay for the shipping. The shipping on this product would be about 25 to $30. That's close to half the total cost of the product. I think that they should be paying the shipping and a refund because this is not the product that they are advertising! Buyer beware!

My dog got skin allergies from this. Apparently this product was even recalled. So angry!!!

My dog loves these little nuggets, she has been eating this since she was born.
