I was hesitant at first to buy this face wash only because of the steep price, but wow I'm glad I gave it a chance. I've been using this wash now for almost a year, and my skin looks smoother and brighter after each wash. I also suffer from contact dermatitis on my face, as well as an oily complexion, and this has done wonders with my skin type. No redness, no irritation and it smells AMAZING. Between my husband and I both using it daily (one pump is enough for one wash) we take about 3 months to go through one bottle.

This herbaceous cleanser from Melixir smells straight up herbal. The scent is strong and distinct, it needs a mention. If you are looking for unscented, this isn’t it. I smell basil, cilantro, citrus, pine, and menthol among other things. It does linger on the skin after washing. The bottle is a thick good looking simple plastic with an easy to use pump. It’s see through. It bubbles ok and washes very well. I did a cotton sweep test after and had nothing coming off of my skin after, so all clean. My dry skin did not pull or feel too tight after, though I move onto applying lotion soon either way.The box and the bottle are printed with manufacturing date, which I’ve seen with Korean beauty products time to time. I received this in mid January and it was made early December, so it’s a fresh batch, but I could’ve easily thought it was recently expired if I hadn’t been familiar with this situation. If manufacturer is reading this, please put either expiration date, or at least label the date as manufacture date in English. Everything else is translated to be USA user friendly, including the very simple user instruction. The scent and the simple use makes this men friendly, and at least unisex.

First and foremost, I would like to say that I always appreciate products that are cruelty free. For myself personally, this is one of the most important aspects of products. So I'm very pleased to see that this is a cruelty free product. It is of course a natural product as well, and so free of any sort of non desirable chemicals. I did enjoy using the gel cleanser, but I think I would have preferred if it foamed a little better. Oddly enough, I found that my experience with it foaming was inconsistent. Sometimes I use my hands to spread it around, and to be honest I don't think I would recommend that technique. I have a facial cleansing brush that rotates, and when I used it with that, it did a better job of foaming. However, it didn't foam as nicely as I would have liked. That being said, I would say that is my only objection to this product. Other than that I found it it did a great job of cleaning my skin, leaving it nicely moisturized, and feeling refreshed. I leave the bottle in my shower, and use it when I shower. The scent is definitely a natural one, and has a bit of a herbaceous touch to it. I felt it was pleasant, and did enjoy how it smelled. All in all I would say it's a very nice quality cruelty free product, and I would recommend giving it a try.

This is a gentle cleanser that did make my face feel nice and clean after using. Didn't dry out or irritate my skin. I'm just not a fan of the scent at all.

The aroma does mellow quickly when spreading it on, and only a slight lingering impression after rinsing. My skin feels vivified and squeaky clean, yet not dried out.The Vegan Herbaceous Gel Cleanser a bit pricey for a facial cleanser, but this is a top shelf "liquid soap". The packaging is minimalist and earth, yet classy. The pump arrive locked but a few twists pops it right up and the gel dispenses easily. I appreciate that it is plant based, vegan, cruelty-free, and recyclable. The ingredient list seems right on and it just feels good to use it.Made in Korea.~ Kort

This is the 3rd Melixir product I have tried, and once again, I love it! Something about this Herbaceous Gel Cleanser with Salicylic Acid and Green Tea Extract is just absolutely refreshing.I received a 185ml thick plastic bottle with black pump. The cleanser has a thinner gel consistency. The smell is invigorating- I love it! If you don’t like the smell of basil, then do not buy this, because that is nearly all I can smell. I saw one reviewer say that it smells like fermented cabbage which I don’t think is true at all. That same reviewer also said that this cleanser doesn’t lather at all- also not true. I find that it doesn’t lather as easily when I use my fingers, but I prefer to use a little silicone brush pad and it lathers so nicely with that.This rinses off with no residue and leaves my skin feeling perfectly clean and fresh-I feel good about using it in general. Melixir products are vegan, cruelty free, plant-based, made in Korea, and use 70% recycled packaging.Anyway, this is probably one of my favorite cleansers because of the natural scent alone, but it is also very gentle and effective. This is a generous bottle of herbal gel cleanser. It comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser that makes it easy to use and looks good too. It has a lovely fragrance of green tea that I personally really like. It is calming and relaxing and just smells great in my eyes.It has some great ingredients in it that are good for your face and help prevent breakouts and acne. This is gentle and mild and great for your face. It produces a mild lather when you use it and rinses of with ease. All in all I really like this and the price for it is appropriate in my eyes.
