Noisy mic and Magnetic stand is Taboo.
First off I want to say I really wanted to love this camera. At first glance I was super happy about it until I dove into it more deeply. Overall great qualities and good ideas but not executed quite correctly. Before I even get into that let me address Amazon. Who didn't for some reason sale the Reolink Argus 3 Pros anywhere on here and Amazon sales everything! I was looking for the pro 3's but after sometime broke down and got the Regular Argus 3's thinking that they weren't out yet. I had to go strait to the company to find the ones I wanted with a slightly higher price but I was willing to buy. With all that being said I thought how different could it really be? Basically the same thing but bit more bells and whistles, right? They both have the same name sake. But no! I ran into a few problems after setting everything up and settling in. The sound noise and buzzing is soo bad on this thing that it defeats the purpose of having a mic and trying to talk through it. It sounds garbled and you can't make out words at times. Even in the dead silence of night. That's my biggest problem. The camera is capable of doing 1080 but always wants to force you to a lower resolution. Problem is I bought this for the clarity of higher resolution. So again that defeats the purpose. So ok I check my Wifi connection and it is good. But to make it better I upgraded my wifi to eero pro 6 from my eero pros. I have insane sppeds over wifi now. Over 470 MBS! And still I have the buzzing noises. I have to call to see what could be done about that if anything. Push notifications to my email don't work, I keep getting an error message. Another concern is that if you choose to use this "convenient" magnetic stand. Be prepared to be picking it up off the ground. If by chance some stray cat or bird doesn't get to it and knock it off course or knocks it off all together. Yep I have evidence. Lol 🙀 But being that said it is too easy to do so. Your trading securities for your convenience. Which at some point may become your inconvenience. You just may loose the camera or it may break on impact depending on how high you place it. Or someone can easily and simply just take it. So I don't recommend that at all. If this is what I have I'm going to have to send it back. If worse come to worse maybe they made improvements to the argus 3 pro that fixed a lot of these issues. I know the pro 3 has wifi band selection to 5Ghz which would be a great help. And I saw a review where the camera mic was so much better. It's not bad but it can be butter and manages to do most things well. Couldn't call customer service because they said they was working on thier line. It's not in service. Which is bogus for such a big company. 🤔 I'll keep you posted if the Argus 3 pro is any better. If not I may just have to call Arlo.7/7/2021Update! Argus 3 Pro addresses all the short comings of its little brother! Sound is clear 👌 Video is too! App is still buggy though. But day and night differences. They even removed the gimmicky magnet 🧲 stand. Someone's listening! 👂👍🏾

This Argus 3 RIOLINK is the Best Wireless Security Camera Value for the Money
I love RIOLINK cameras because you can record your voice as the siren. (I own five ARGUS 3 Cameras). I no longer need to answer the front door for salespeople, because once the salesperson hears the recorded message, he or she leaves immediately.I recently purchased the newer Argus 3 version (dual band 2.4/5GHZ) of this model with the flood light, but it did not work on my 5G home internet. I gave that one to my son because it worked on his network. This older 2.4 GHZ version hooked up in less than three minutes and is about $25 less if you can find remaining units on Amazon. The light is bright, and the image is good. I like the fact that this model tells me if the moving object is a person or something else like a vehicle. When you set up REOLINK cameras you do have to position them just right to reduce false alarms. They work best if you can direct the camera to avoid busy roads near the house and trees that sway in the wind.

Working well so far, need brighter/bigger/more LEDs
Pretty easy to setup in terms of both hardware and software. No power or data cable to worry about is a big improvement compare to security camera systems from 5 to 10 years ago.Unit is also small and light enough for easy mounting.Offering onboard recording via SD card slot is a plus, some other brands on Amazon only allow cloud storage alone.Picture and sound quality is good enough for my uses so far.The only improvement I wish they could add is more or larger or brighter LED flood lights.Right now the existing night time LEDs on this unit is just barely enough. Good thing is if your camera is pointing to your neighbors the LEDs are not bright enough to disturb anybody but enough to lighten just the immediate area front of the camera. Not really qualify to be called flood light especially when compare to those traditional flood lights people install above their garage doors.Given the size limitation of the battery I do understand why they limit the size/brightness of the LED.Overall this is not bad if you want a cheap and easy to setup security camera. Will certainly buy another one if I need more.*update 8/20. If your mounting location doesn't have a lot of direct sunlight, the solar panel alone will not be able to charge the camera battery. One solution is to charge the camera with one of those high capacity protable power bank you can find on amazon. Then you don't need to dismount the camera to charge it.

Nive inexpensive camera
I am slowly switching to all Reolink cameras. Both cameras I have are battery powered with solar panel. Love them.

Performs well
Good: Picture quality, video quality, spot light. All excellent. Ability to talk and/or activate alarm. Great features. Push notifications to phone is an excellent feature.Bad: motion sensing is not great. Will not activate with straight on movement. Camera has to be mounted at slight angle for motion activation. Also - camera saves video AFTER activation. That is important. If someone manages to enter home prior to activation of recording, you will not capture the perpetrator. Should record before and after. Be sure to keep that in mind when mounting. You want it to activate prior to reaching entry points.
